      • Looks like Momo won't be going to the Super League, he knows nothing about it.

The Roosters are in a tight salary cap situation.

They have re-signed the likes of Connor Watson and Billy Smith but are yet to announce new deals for the pair.

          • Signing and re-signing news will ramp up once it's November 1, one assumes, although the Roosters are rather tardy in announcing these for both NRL and NRLW.

Be interesting to see what the squads are like in 2024 for
            • Lisa Fiaola Cup under 17's
            • Tarsha Gale Cup under 19's
            • Jersey Flegg under 21's
            • Knock on Effect NSW Cup
            • Harvey Norman Women's NSW Premiership - maybe delayed if this comp is run alongside NRLW in 2024 as a reserve grade comp like NSW Cup is for the NRL.

            • Now that it's been announced that "The Panthers are the greatest team ever to play rugby league" and "Nathan Cleary is the best player there has ever been"...we need to choose our playing roster very carefully to be able to win games and win a premiership sometime in the future...a big, strong, muscular team able to bash, smash, and trash opposition teams (legally of course) is best.
Bigger, stronger and faster than the Panthers, obviously.IT

Not sure how you combat 13-5, 9-2 etc penalty counts and truckloads of six agains etc in favour of the teachers pet teams though.

              • I'd definitely keep Allan and Pauga.
                What about back-ending some contracts?

                  • I think this may be the line up for 2024, mind you this team is only my opinion as I am frustrated with the players who are really injury probe that are killing our cap year in year out...

                    1. Tedesco
                    2. Tupou
                    3. Suuali

Why have Suuali at centre when he didn't go well there this year and once moved to the wing was great? Also there is no point in developing him at centre as he is leaving.

If Sitili is fit he is definately in the 17.

There was some promising things I saw with him at centre but I felt he failed earlier without a steady halves combination out there as when Walker was out there he played really well there. I cannot trust us putting Billy Smith out there next year as he won't play the whole year as he always gets injured and will yet again disappoint the team mid or end of the season as he will not be available at the business end of the year due to injury.

I think Joseph will keep the jersey warm for Robert Toia in the near future...........

                          • I can see Joseph-Aukuso Sua'ali'i playing left centre and Dominic Young playing right wing in 2024 as he settles into the Roosters way, with Young being developed as a centre for 2025.

Dominic Young played right centre in junior football in England, so I can't see Joseph Manu being moved to left centre.

It has to be noted, though, that Dominic Young scored 43 tries in 51 NRL appearances during his time at the Newcastle Knights as a winger.

The problem with the attack was the halves combo which is still yet to gel and the so called spine.

A lot of work will be required to develop and improve the halves and so-called spine players individually and as combos in spring/preseason training.

Certainly need to work on offloads , moving the ball and support play in attack as well.

I'd love to read your expansion of this comment. He was very ordinary before Walker was dropped/injured, then he was already back on the wing by the time Walker returned. I just don't get this. Smith only played from Rnd 10 onwards, and managed 15 games of solid tp very good performances.

Yes, shame on Billy for 'disappointing the team' by having his jaw broken by a high shot and missing that last game.

Pointless playing JS at centre. It failed big time. I think left centre will be Allan / Smith or Toia.

Perhaps JS as an edge backrower? Certainly, big enough! Would be great in attack and not flustered in defence?
