Not sure if it’s already been discussed on here but just saw some Facebook chatter suggesting JS might not be too keen on linking up with RU considering the shithouse state the code is currently at in Australia.

It’s a business and he obviously decided to chase the dollars but as an elite competitive athlete, would you really want leave a successful club like the Roosters to go play for the rabble that is the current Wallaby squad?

Do the dollars outweigh success? I can’t see him being a winner in a Wallaby jersey.

Any chance he might backflip and would you be happy if he did?

      Clickbait story

I saw it on a newspaper online site on the weekend and from memory it was Buzz.
Nothing from Suaalii, the club or manager but he said he could after the poor performance of the Wallaby's.
      A nothing but space filler.

Chatter only. He's being paid serious coin and he's signed a contract.

But he's played well in second half of season, I'd like to see him stay his contracted year to us now.

When he signed for RU everybody outside of the Roosters wanted him sacked immediately, headed by Phil Gould. When you got strong management the outside noises mean shit-there was never any chance of the club moving him on in 2023- journos and blow arses from other clubs arent going to dictate what Uncle Nick should do.

Im sure the club wasn't happy that he signed without them knowing- but he is a kid and that doing is his manager. In the end if they informed the club of the 1.6 million offer then the result was the same- you cant have 1 player taking up so much of the salary cap. However the club stood by him.

While all and sundry here complained that Robbo played him in the centres, the fact is that we had no one at left centre-and given Su's attributes you would say that he has the goods to be a great centre. It didn't turn out that way- and the same all and sundry here who wanted Robbo gone now wanted Su gone. The Chookpen doesn't make the calls- but air all your grievances if you want- freedom of speech- its falling upon deaf ears of those who make the calls.

If i was Su i would take every cent you can get from RU at his age. If he backlipped in RU id sign him up in a heartbeat. The only issue is he is a fullback- and so is Manu....but Manu s also the best centre in the game. If Teddy is happy to play the same role as mini did for RTS then thats best outcome. If not then its either RU or another NRL club. We move on

Rubbish- all but clearly not sundry could see that Suallii was not a centre, is not a centre and never will be a centre. We had plenty of left centres when Robinson chose Suallii instead. Even Robinson finally came around by the last round, where he had every reason to make out of the box centre choices and went with 3rd string actual centres who played great. Much better than his usual 2nd row to centre selections. Suallii was up front about his desire to play rugby. It was in every newspaper. If he's signed with Rugby there is no way he will walk away from that contract. I think he is a very good winger/fullback, not $800k though. Him walking in 2025 is not the worst outcome for us. Finally - believe it or not the Chookpen is the go to for market research for Easts. The Chookpen is the Roosters market. All successful organisations have a marketing department including Easts. Using qualitative and quantitative research is a basic business tool. So Chookpeners air your grievances. I guarantee some at head office takes note.

I’d be surprised if he backs out. Even if he does, we wouldn’t be able to afford him.

It’s how I read it but surely he must be thinking “what am I in for?”

I see all that except I don’t see him as a fullback.

                  Maybe just me though.

You're stretching it a tad far.

All and sundry weren't calling for TRobbo's sacking but rather questioning his ongoing selection of JS in the centres, when it was evident the experiment had to end. Terrible frustrating for us fans because
once he returned to the more comfortable and suitable wing position Joseph was shining again.

If I was suaali id take the money from Aus rugby
as he has shown so far $750k is an overpriced contract for him
it won’t help his value playing res grade next year so better off leaving now
he will be a mercenary his while career just following the highest bidder
one of the most overhyped kids I have seen
showed no interest of game awareness at centre in defence or attack where is has no step, fend or passing game

I don’t understand this obsession with centre ! It seem nostalgia… winger is the more valuable position by far these days
