not a fun way to live, regardless of the amount of cash you have.
I really worry about his health in 20 years time. That is very concerning.

Heart breaks for the guy. May be my favourite Rooster ever, seeing him in the coaching box on game day still doesn't feel right.

People carry on about the loss of Cronk and Fitzgibbon but for mine nothing compares to what Friendy and especially this guy gave our club. You can just imagine what it'd be like to be in a team led by him.

Just seeing that little bit of him on the show, adds even more to his absence from the team, true leader who does more with his acts, than his words.

One of the most humbling guys to play the game.

Journo: 'Boyd, what was the greatest highlight of your career'?

Boyd: "To call myself a Rooster".

Says it all for me. He is the quintessential example of a champion - both as a player and a human being.

Man you are just so on the mark.
I was only saying to this guy at work this week about Boyd & Friendy how they were the toughest 2 mother farkers at the Chooks who would literally run through brick walls & have the other players want to follow them. Those 2 have been the difference of how the team is now & how the team was in 2018 & 19.
Ive followed the Chooks for 56 years & have had favs like Artie, Fairfax, McGahan, Horrie, Freddy, Mini but Friend & Boyd are special, man those 2 put their bodies & heads on the line like no others, both were WARRIORS.
At the end of the day I wouldn't wish my son to do what they have done but as a Roosters supporter they are the 2 toughest mofo's that Ive seen play at the Chooks.
I just have an extra soft spot for Boyd so he is my favorite Roosters player ever, Horrie was but Boyd Cordner has taken over.

Quite the opposite. He has his demons as we all do but he has impressed me with his self-deprecation and quiet demeanour.

Agree, completely different to what i thought he would be, gee his body seems broken though, seems to struggle a lot and looks weary.

I thought it was pretty weak how he wanted to leave only to change his mind when the SAS guy called his mum. Started on about he’s missing his family & how the family is everything to indigenous Australians.
The Choc that we all see before fights or when he was playing footy was a just a front, I met him about 5 years ago & he was a very nice man.
