Tommy has much more versatility than most give him credit for - can play 5/8 (from memory he captained our NYC team at 5/8), centre or in the second row.

And from the reports I get he's been one of the better Jets players, so it's not as if he's not doing his best to push for a spot in the top 17.

I would hesitate before cutting him loose if I were the Chooks, especially as we'd probably have to top up his salary with his new club.

I have seen him play for the Jets a few times and he along with Bosdan are the standouts in the pack, he is def first grade potential size power speed ball play hole runner. I rate him over Arona in the long haul by leaps and bounds but thats only my opinion. He also seems to have a good attitude and burns all the petrol every time.

From what I've heard, he was one of fittler's fav's but never got a go under smith.

I was sad to see him go, he had a great backend of the season last year.However he had a bit of a shocker for the Titans against the Tigpies last week and gifted the game right back to the Tigpies with a couple of clangers.

For something different i would play Tom Symonds in the centres to partner SKD. Let's face it, he is better than BJ who is too slow to be a back. Symonds is slightly faster and can hit a hole which good centres should be able to do.

Until Moga is ready and good enough, Symonds to centre.
