  • JWH right for round 1

Sounds like it will be approved for JWH ban to be used up with the internationals
as long as NZ make the final that will be another 3 games so 6 with the 3 end of year for chooks
then promising that the NZ Māori game will also be included so will be right for round 1 for his 299th game in USA then back home for his 300th round 2

Sounds good to me. A logical solution as I think that deep down the NRL would appreciate that the length of the suspension (including two charges for the same incident) was complete bullshyte.

Yeah makes sense. 7 games was well over the top, even including his loading. Plus of those 7 games he has missed a game against our fiercest rivals, the Bunnies, two knockout finals games and 4 rep games so he has more than served his punishment imo.

Dumb as shit what he did, but in no world do I think that the punishment fits the crime. Just need to know the draw for the 2024 season so we know where he will play his 300th in round 2.

How is it a loophole? He is missing games because of his suspension.

I think they will tighten this loophole for rep footy in the future, especially when a player's suspension makes them unavailable for selection for a rep squad for all of these rep games.

JWH was selected in the original NZ squad

Do you know if Wighton was able to use the old "' I'm coming out of retirement " pearler?

If JWH plays round one it will be great for the Roosters but even better listening to the NRL community bitch and moan about how it is a rort

Wighton stayed retired so will miss the first 3 NRL games in 2024.

Sebastian Chris is another player eligible as I think he has 4 more matches to serve.

Would have been selected if avaialable and he put us hand up
the player has to say they will play and the coach has to agree he would have picked them hence why jwh and kris will gets their suspensions reduced
fair enough they are missing out on playing for their country and $$
with Whyte, griffen neame and a couple of fringe first graders picked with so many unavailable he would have been an easy pick

I think you can say we would have picked him if available and then those games count… I think

I believe the 4 teams travelling to Los Vegas are getting a bye in Round 2 so they aren’t disadvantaged by the travel.
