I'm sure I read in the last week Wighton has made himself available for origin again, I wonder if this is a ploy to have the all stars game counted.
Good on him for finding a way around the ban but you shouldn't be able to keep changing your mind, if you decide to be unavailable for rep games it should be for a minimum of 3 years before you are considered again and not change your mind to get around a suspension.

I love watching the Roosters playing quality teams like Souths & winning. My South’s mate who I go with to watch the Chooks v Rabbits games hates going with me because I give it to him big time
Just on Wighton, I’ve always liked him, he’s an aggressive dirty tough player & I would have been more than happy if the Chooks could have got him.
Hopefully the Chooks can rough him up & give him a welcome to a Roosters v Souths Royal Rumble.

I can’t wait for rd 1 when we get to play another quality team in the Broncos.

Jared fortunate to get the discount he got. No rep games should ever count towards an NRL suspension. No Vegas, but utterly wonderful that he plays 300 against Souths, at home, on a Friday night. Imagine how massive that will be. I might come up for that.

My thoughts exactly. There is no way we will lose to Souths in such a milestone game.

A silver lining. The script could not be more perfect. Jarred just needs to behave in round 2.

I believe the 4 teams travelling to Los Vegas are getting a bye in Round 2 so they aren’t disadvantaged by the travel.

Just reading the draw, the 2 games in Vegas are on the Sunday afternoon March 3rd (we're the second game at 3.30pm our time) and then the remainder of Round 1 starts the following Thursday March 7th, with the remaining 6 games played through to Sunday. We then play our Round 2 game the following Sunday March 17th (vs Manly at Brookvale at 4pm), then we play Round 3 against Souths on Friday March 22nd. Then Round 4 vs Penrith on the Thursday.

JWH not allowed to play the Vegas game, so conveniently his 300 falls in r3 vs souffs. While other players are allowed to have the all stars game count. Seems like a marketing ploy by the NRL to build/run an ad campaign around JWH for the r3 game.

When you consider JWH hasn’t played the all stars game in like 5 years while wighton has played the last 3, I think it makes sense.
