I really can't see Joey moving on, he will get a decent deal and at the Roosters he will have a job for life.

he was offered huge coin and the fullback at warriors so would think if he knocked that back a few years ago he will knock back dragons offer

Not quite sure who's spreading the 'Dragons offered him $$$' and for what purpose.

IMO he's probably on the money we put aside from Latrell when we offered hin $800k a season to be the comp's highest paid centre.

We're now in a world where big guns like Collins, Teddy, JWH, Keary and Toops are all playing for less than their market value. A heap of others who provide VALUE simply aren't up to earning $$$ salaries yet so they pull our average salary down as well (e.g. Butch, May and Wongie).

If you were to believe the haters then Teddy, Collins, Manu, Cheese, JWH, Crichton and Sua'ali'i together are earning close to our full cap. I dunno our tricks but I reckon a big part of it is that a lot of guys have CHOSEN us (i.e they earn ~$250k-$400k and are happy with that) and our marquee players take ~$200-$300k less than people think they're on (they're still rich) coz they wanna play here. We're also good at identifying/developing talent (e.g. with all the hype about what guys like Haas are on, Collins and May just get the ****ing job done!)

just a suggestion , why doesn't teddy play out 2024 at fb then consider a move to centre in 2025, so manu can move back there and justify the big $ .

teddy as good as he is , is creeping up in age and I hate to say it, but I think his representative days are numbered for both the blues and kangaroos - whether he chooses to retire from rep or not .

we can prob afford to carry both manu and teddy on big $ for a season or 2, with the likely end of jwh, teddy and possibly keary at the end 2024 or 2025 in Kerry's case ?

I don't understand what makes anybody think that Teddy would make a good centre when he's never played there in his life. It's such a critical defensive position, you miss a tackle at centre and its generallyn a line break or a try or both

We have quite a few players off contract next year and unless we are planning to sign AFB I don't see why we can't offer Joey a million a season.

With the cap increasing every year I believe he will be good value even at that price, at 27 he is coming into his prime.

Nick should sign him for 4-5 years.
