I don't think he will ever leave but have no issue if he does decide to take the money and leave.
Anyone on here who says they would never consider leaving if they played NRL is only kidding themselves.
If someone offers stupid money which sets you up for life you would seriously have to consider it.
If I was playing at the Roosters and a club came along and offered me a long term deal at 50% or more extra a season it be hard to say no, but Uncle Nick is a bloke who could convince you to say I'm staying and offer you a job after football to keep you on a decent income after footy.
Wherever he signs I would expect him to be part of the coaching staff after he finishes playing at that club.

At least on the wing he won't stifle backline movements either

I dunno our tricks but I reckon a big part of it is that a lot of guys have CHOSEN us (i.e they earn ~$250k-$400k and are happy with that) and our marquee players take ~$200-$300k less than people think they're on (they're still rich) coz they wanna play here. We're also good at identifying/developing talent (e.g. with all the hype about what guys like Haas are on, Collins and May just get the ****ing job done!)
1. To win. We've got a team packed with premiership winners or representative players, the coach has won 3 comps, everything around the club is successful which means you will likely become successful if you sign. Compare that to St George Illawarra where they've got a new coach, half the team are rookie players or bad veterans, the captain wants to leave, the club is in disarray and hasn't had success in a decade and a half, why go?
2. Lifestyle, Compare Bondi to Wollongong or Bondi to Canberra, why move to Wollongong when you can live it up in Bondi? I grew up in Wollongong and I hate Wollongong. Eastern Sydney is much better for millionaire footballers.
3. Rep footy comes into it as well. For the most part if you want to be consistently playing rep footy you're going to be coming from a successful team for the most part. Proven by only 8/21 players from outside top 8 teams making it to the Australian squad that just finished up.
4. After footy life as well. Dragons aren't setting you up for life once you retire from the game, Roosters very well could.
---
Ultimately at the end of the day Manu will only go if he's paid massive overs to go. If it comes down to Roosters offering a million and Dragons offering 1.2 I think he stays, if Roosters offer 800k and Dragons offer 1.2 then he probably goes Dragons.
