I agree. Talk of him playing centres or 5/8th don't make a lot of sense to me. He might play 6 for Italy when he retires from playing for the Roos but can't see him ever playing in another spot for us

He played centre in the world cup for Italy and looked very good there. I think he's far more suited to centre than wing.

I'll preface the following with I know this is an over simplified break down of differences between the two positions but typically wingers are players who are good running into space, where as centres are typically running into contact. Teddy has always been a very good tackle breaker and looks to run into contact and break tackles when he's attacking. He's no where near as good when trying to get around players.

Wingers also need to be good at catching the ball above their head which is not really Teddy's strength. He is however a very decent tackler so I'd back him to make 15 tackles a game over competing for bombs on the wing.

He would handle the yardageyardage requirements of the wing role very well and he would also handle the ball playing requirements of a centre very well.

I just think overall he's more suited to the centre position if he were to make a switch in the latter years of his career.

Yeah don't know that I agree that the centre positiom is about running into contact. I would prefer my centre to be trying to hit space rather than running directly into contact unless he's built like a tank. I would have thought that the edge back rower is the one you want running into contact.

Joey Manu isn’t a better fullback than Teddy. He can do some better things in fullback, but that’s just because he is a freak.
But, for 80 minutes Teddy takes the cake.

Suaalli is more suited to fullback than Manu. But Rugby Australia aren’t going to let him go now. RA would have that contract as tight as anything.

Joey Manu said towards the end of the season he was staying and wasn't going to test the market but here we are in mid November and he hasn't re-signed. Joseph Sua'ali'i is a better fullback prospect and is going to be a bigger loss than potentially Manu will be.
