I'm assuming this is still pending official NRL approval before this can be officially announced?

I reckon he would kill that role with his size and pace. The old chiming into the backline and backing up breaks through the middle etc . Sound under the highball and would get the Roosters off to a flying start in their sets with his pace on kick returns.

      Get Mini to mentor him

Tedesco is signed until 2025 - not sure if he will be extended past then - be 33 in 2026
Manu possibly off to Rugby in 2025 - returning to NRL in 2026? - 30 in 2026
      Dom Young - 25 in 2026

      A Possible 1 to 5 Backline in 2026
      1. Young
      2. Murphy
      3. Billy Smith/Toia
      4. Manu
      5. Nawaqanitawase

Dom Young FB = No thanks
Big blokes like him & like Latrell dont have the motor to play FB in the modern game. The likes of Walsh & Edward’s are the proto type

I reckon he'll play rugby in Japan before returning late in the season.

Just needs to be approved by the NRL. That could be why it's gone all quiet.

To me it makes a lot of sense. Manu gets to earn some big dollars doing basically nothing, while it keeps his body fresh for the Roosters when it matters.

He has broken down a bit in recent times so it might actually be good for his longevity.

I also noticed in the photos that Rob Toia is running up hills so his latest ACL injury must be well on the improve and he will be back in a few months

Sammy Walker is also nicely filling out.
I remember when he first made FG & he was a tooth pick & posters on here were saying he just needs an off season to bulk up, lol. It takes years to bulk up but he is coming along now.

He may struggle to pick up grubbers. It’s a long way down.

                Remember Paul Hauff?
