I wouldn't be throwing shade at other players when you the "big marquee signing" sat out for most of the season this year since coming across.

He played 21 games for us last year. How is that sitting out most of the season?

Crazy thought - nobody else wanted to fly to Vegas a couple of weeks before x-mas to do a couple of days of PR and then go home? Those with families and stuff mighta been like 'nah no way... we're on holidays!'

Alternatively, maybe these guys got paid (for example) $50k a piece to do it and higher paid players didn't wan/need the cash?

The NRL requested one player from each club 1st Choice selections were:
Roosters Joey
Manly Tom
Broncos Reece
Rabbits Latrell

No player got paid, but they covered business class travel, accomodation, meals and out of pocket expenses.
If they had paid 50k then I guarantee you the players they wanted would have gone.

Fair point but let me pivot for a second ... out of those 21x games he played, Brandon probably only had what like 4-5 games towards the back end of the season where he played decent and lived up to is price tag ?


He spent more time talking shit on podcasts with James Graham and/or being on the side-lines injured.
