We've already got Walker and the Va'a boys (possibly a few more people that Brisbane wanted?) Last time I checked, Walsh was putting Penrith to the sword and then switched off in the last 20 to lose the game (looked like he got too arrogant and then lost his legs in disbelief when the Riff clawed its way back). Reynolds will retire soon. Ma'm is over-rated and Haas reminds me of Woods... walks in and is difficult to tackle due to his size but that's about it.
Then there's the factor of Easts coming good in 2024. Brisbane had their chance in 2023 and blew it. That does not equal a decade of success.

C'mon Nick, make it happen!

Every player was average last year. One thing guaranteed for 2024 is a champion like Teddy is coming back bigger and better than ever.

Both are heavy, ~200cm dudes who just walk in and are like 'hahhahaa you are all so small'... then stay on their feet, trying to push offloads before they are finally dragged down. It's like watching an U15's game where there's a big, lazy kid who's had their growth spurt before the others.
Get that Haas (like David Fifita) has his day where he combined his size with hard running and tears teams apart. It's never big games though.

I'm actually a huge fan of Walsh despite some of his transgressions making him look a bit of a flog at times. You gotta remember he is 20 or something.
He is truly special in the Billy Slater mould. Will go down as an all time great. Born to play rubba leeg.
With all that in mind, there is NO WAY Brisbane let him go TWICE. They are probably the only club that can compete with us in terms of prestige and off-field professionalism. He will be their franchise for the rest of his career in my opinion.
