  • Reece Walsh

He's off contract end of 2025 and would be the perfect replacement for James Tedesco. Walsh is reported to be currently on $400k a year which is criminal for a player of his calibre. I'd be offering him $1.3 million a year and the opportunity to play for competitions most professional club.

    C'mon Nick, make it happen!

He’s the perfect replacement for Teddy. But, I don’t think Teddy will retire after 2025 at just 32.

They already have their succession plan in place for FB. And I doubt that this is it.

Teddy looked busted last season and his overall form was average. I'd be pleasantly surprised if he has more than 2 seasons left in him.

Any idea what the succession plan is? Surely it's not Suaalii!

plays football okay (would not even survive in any other era)

but everything about him is not what this club represents

Outstanding talent but believe me the Broncos are a super club & Queensland players love playing for them.
He’s no chance of coming to the Chooks now that he is a star up there.

I would have thought it would be Manu, which is a big reason he didn't take the Warriors offer last time. I have no inside knowledge tho.

Their premiership drought is almost as long as the Tigers.

Not sure why the love cobber. Hell, even souffs have won a grand final in the past 20 years!

Not only is Brisbane a power club and a one city club (who the F**k are the Dolphins!), they are also now a successful club with a great chance of winning a premiership. It would take a life times worth of eyelash tint and foundation as well as an endless supply of cocaine to pry him away from Brisbane. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.

Teddy should retire from rep footy this year though.

I don't necessarily assume they're gonna repeat their run of form in 2024.

We've already got Walker and the Va'a boys (possibly a few more people that Brisbane wanted?) Last time I checked, Walsh was putting Penrith to the sword and then switched off in the last 20 to lose the game (looked like he got too arrogant and then lost his legs in disbelief when the Riff clawed its way back). Reynolds will retire soon. Ma'm is over-rated and Haas reminds me of Woods... walks in and is difficult to tackle due to his size but that's about it.

Then there's the factor of Easts coming good in 2024. Brisbane had their chance in 2023 and blew it. That does not equal a decade of success.
