Bit sceptical of that list. Saab would win a 100m sprint for sure I'd say, he's never had to go full tilt. Walsh has the super acceleration, might see him win the 50m dash.

Surprised to not see Walsh nearer the top even though there's just a metre or so from first to twentieth. His short bursts are dazzling.

If they were too measure acceleration he would be up near the top imho.

I don't really take much notice of these stats.
Not often a player needs to run at full speed over 100 meters, generally most don't need to for more than 20-50 meters.
Having a player who accelerates quickly to 36 and stay there for 30 meters is better than someone who runs at 37 over 100 meters but takes time to reach that speed.

Jennings was timed doing 60m in 6.5 seconds when playing at chooks by trainers. Mat Shirvington and Hayden Knowles kept tabs and times through some years .He said Jennings over 40m was unbeatable through most of his playing career. With out the footy in his hands they said Josh Ado car was the fastest over a 100 ...James Roberts was there too.

It's only their top speed too. IMO it means jack all in footy terms.

Cheese is 'faster' than most of these guys in practice, though I doubt his top speed / 100m sprint speed is up to much.
