We need him with Pearce out now anyway.

Should Anasta remain in first grade?

what we do know is Smith didn't want him to get a contract extension last time, we can thank Uncle Nick for that one, also Smith realised his workrate was not good enough for the backrow and tonight to start the second half he swapped Pearce and Anasta after his poor defensive effort in the 1st half, I get the feeling Smith is not happy with Anasta but the question is does he have the balls to drop him after the origin period.

He hasn't had a go since 2010!
His place in the team is guaranteed no matter what he dishes up.

There's a reason this bloke played second grade last year and can't even crack a bench spot this year.
Why does everyone suddenly love Morts? Or is it just the fact that Anasta is so useless?

I don't rate Mortimer as a 5/8. Too small. He's better off the bench as a rake.
Anasta is the only real option.

Wrong Bansai I would give the keriehla kid a run he is killing it.The way I see it a hell of a lot of footballers can contribute to that position than he at the moment .Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

I don't think that we purchased wisely at the back end of 2011.
Our star 5/8th leaves our club, we go out and purchase another team's 5/8th and then persist for another year with this SH*T kicker (both meanings intended).
C'mon guys get serious. We've purchased Mortimer but he isn't tearing the house down and is a reserve grader at best. It's poor managment by our club.
I purchase a club membership every year, and buy merchandise for myself and my kids every year, and go to games every year. Most of you on the forum do the same as me.
The bottom line is that Bwaiff has to go and until he does I'm not going to go and watch any more games and flush my money down the toilet watching someone who has given up on us Captain the RWB. Jack Gibson would be rolling in his grave watching this crappy performance. The fact that his name will be in the history books under roosters captains makes me sick.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, next year needs to be the year where we start from scratch and I seriously would consider giving noyce the flick and bringing in someone like Malcolm Noad. He was the first person to recognize the bullduds we purchased and never took shit from anyone. He also drove the bulldogs into a formidable position both footy wise and marketing wise as well as building a great culture at a club which 2 years before he went there were on the brink of failure after the 02 salary cap rort.
Anyway that's my twenty cents

i too buy merchandise. recently i sent my daughter some as she lives in the usa.she is 11.she wrote back i am a rooster fan forever.i mentioned in another post that it is a disgrace that anasta be our skipper when in the past we have had many a champion captain the team.i have followed them since 67. yeah 67 and never in my time have i felt so opposed to a captain.anasta cant compare with a coote brass artie fittller salvatori fitzy.he is not in their league. i support all other players and certainly not anasta and chairman politis nor ceo noyce. seeing noyce at the artie tribute was an embarassment.he was totally star struck and mostly looked like a shag on a rock.ceo material i dont think so.
