Should Anasta remain in first grade?

Hi there Stephen, my name is Floyd.

I am a 3rd generation Rooster supporter & do not dislike any Roosters players, I never have.
I admire the young men who play for the Roosters, I understand the brutality of the game &
I cannot express how much I respect our players who put their body on the line for the club. Well most of them.

What I am emailing you about is the non efforts of Braith over the past 3 to 4 weeks.
I do not dislike Braith Anasta, in fact on different forums I have gone into bat for him when he has been attacked by fans.

But at the moment he is not playing up to a FG standard for a guy who is so experienced.
I am not sure if he has been instructed by the coaching staff to take a back seat but it is embarrassing
watching him play at the moment. His metres gained against the Warriors was 1 metre. Their is no sting in
his defence & he does very little in general play.

I honestly believe the club should be grooming a new captain whilst he is still at the club. Aubusson or Pearce come to mind.
He will understand the situation, he took over the captaincy when they took it from Fitzy.
By relieving him of the captaincy it may spark him up to put in for the remainder of the year for our great club.

Well I have said what I have said & just wanted to let you know how I am seeing things.

We will never know because he will not be dropped.

But if he was to get injured Kheirallah or Mortimer would get a crack & you never know 13 with some games under their belts in FG & if the team is winning & their confidence is up they could be a surprise. On tonights effort by Anasta make that over the last 4 games either of those 2 are better at 5/8, I would even give Takairangi a go at 5/8 ahead of Anasta.
