I wear a wife beater and some k-mart shorts when running and don't seem to have trouble posting competitive times.

My fitness tip of the day is to spend more time training and less time buying gear. You'll save money and get fitter.

Also amateur cycling tip... unless you're doing competition riding on a velodrome or doing the tour de France (or similar), wearing normal shorts and a shirt (plus getting a nice big seat rather than shoving a pole up your such and such in order to save 500g of weight as the difference between gold and silver will be a split second) is a good call. It's also far more flattering for most of the cyclists I see. Promise that the extra 2 seconds you'll spend on a 1hr ride around the lake will be offset by the comfort gains.
Some of them take 2hrs to squeeze into their gear & cycle for a 1/2hr then head straight for the nearest Hungry Jacks.

Nothing wrong with K Mart cheapies.

Anyway where was i? Yeah Toops will be one of the 1st always picked.

Also wasn't the Suaalii at centre thing put to bed after 12rds or so last year?

According to Nat Butcher it has been Suaalii and Young fighting it out this offseason for the right wing spot.

You have clearly NEVER cycled. What a bunch of gibberish.
Your ill-informed comment is akin to saying that Dunlop volleys are all you need to run and that quality running shoes are irrelevant.
The contact points on a quality bike seat, is a persons sit bones, nothing to do with their arse. It's not about weigh, it's about comfort, ie finding a seat that matches your body.
Weight saving are generally in wheels and not being fat, nothing to do with seats for an amateur cyclist.
A cycling top is designed to allow sweat to evaporate to keep you cool, the same as any other modern sports top. Maybe if you migrated your mind from the 80's you might find some comfortable running gear.
A normal T-shirt is ok if you are cruising on a flat bar to the shops, but would be very annoying at 30km/h flapping around.
Cycling tops also have pockets for phones, food, pumps etc, ie practical functionality.

That's the way it should be. Toops & Billy deserve their spots on the left. It would be extremely tough to leave either of them out.

I reckon Billy Smith is going to have a real good year. He's managed to put a string of games together in '23, in which he looked better and better as the season went on. Now he's added a good tough pre-season and is ready to rip. Big year for Billy, just watch !!

Great post. Billy’s a gun and will have a massive year for us. I expect Toups won’t leave anything on the table in what is likely his final year. Bloody exciting times; I can’t wait for the season to begin.

                  From Fosports

Sydney Roosters vs. Brisbane Broncos at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, 3.30pm AEDT

Predicted Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Joseph Suaalii 3. Joseph Manu 4. Billy Smith 5. Dom Young 6. Luke Keary 7. Sam Walker 8. Spencer Leniu 9. Brandon Smith 10. Lindsay Collins 11. Nat Butcher 12. Siua Wong 13. Victor Radley 14. Sandon Smith 15. Egan Butcher 16. Sitili Tupouniua 17. Terrell May

Team Tips: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was able to serve some of his suspension during New Zealand’s Pacific Championship run after the Roosters used the International loophole. However, the Kiwis enforcer will still miss the opening two rounds, with recruit Spencer Leniu set to earn a start in the front row in his place and Terrell May filling the prop replacement role on the bench beside back-rowers Egan Butcher and Sitili Tupouniua. Recruit Dom Young looks set to earn a spot on the wing, with Joseph Suaalii on the other and Daniel Tupou the unlucky man out. Billy Smith partners Joseph Manu in the centres.

If this is right, it's at odds with our local intel. Might prefer to back the latter.

I will say if Aussie Joe gets a start, I hope he goalkicks.

Why isn’t Angus listed? He looks as fit as I’ve seen him.

Speakin of fit, Tyler Moriarty looks tuned! Some Warwicks on him

Don’t worry, ism loves tight short shorts, especially down at the Beauey for Sizzling Sundays.

I think he will be in the side instead of Wong.

If Joseph Suaalii isn't picked, who is our goal kicker? Billy Smith?

                              Tupou will play.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
