Which I don't have every year and haven't really had for the last few. Things are aligning. Walker another season experienced, Wong and Whyte to add new dimensions to what we have. Even watching Leniu bounce of those tackle pads while keeping his footwork and looking to pass excites me. Rads and Angus powering through the hill sprints, and all the other training session videos. They look good.

Early days I know, but lots to be excited about I reckon.

Also, i think we've done our money cold with Leniu. Like when we signed Momirovski, IMO i cant believe we fell for him. He has been part of the best system in nearly 40 years. Playing behind 2 gun props in Leota & JFH. He has been largely ineffective when playing any sort of extended minute. I cannot get excited about him in any way at all

Leniu doesn't have to be the forward leader - we still have Collins & JWH for that
I'm expecting/hoping he can play the Sam Moa impact role, if he can do that $500k is worth it

I think we will take a different approach to the season and hopefully have a few extra wins before the origin period
surely the team are sick of having to win 10 straight just to sneak into the finals....

Comparing Momo to Leniu is laughable! Momo was bog average when he left and he came back even worse, couldn’t make a tackle and had nothing in attack! Only played 1st grade when there was a stack of injuries
Leniu will be fine he is the enforcer role off the bench providing the impact when jwh and Collins are off

It’s a squad that can win it! If luck with injuries and a lot better start to get into the top 4 at end of season they will have a chance
one or the strongest 17s we have had and in particular 22 man squad with depth I have seen for some time
depth in spots will keep players honest each week as well

Only Penrith can stop themselves winning it this year, they are just too good.
If anyone can knock them off it's Brisbane, Souths or East with Melbourne always a chance but I just can't see it.

There are probably about 5 or 6 teams a chance besides Penrith making the grand final if injuries and the refs work in their favour.

I was feeling rather upbeat this time last year believing that Rads and the Cheese would form a great combintion. Alas it was more like Cling & Clang from HR Pufnstuff.

Yeah also I don't see the connection between him and Momirovski. Paulie was an ex-Rooster looking for a low-value contract... we needed the depth. He provided without charging us much.

Spencer? I think he's being signed for a different purpose.

Sure Spence was 'part of' a good system. However what's that saying? I think it's farfetched to suggest that he's achieved nothing and is a leaner. The Riff sacked May... I suppose he's also shyte? Good systems require talent.

Agree about the Keary/Walker combo being the major weakness. Each of them brilliant, and I expect Sam to raise his game, but 2 small halves together, neither of whom can kick further than 30 metres or put up a high bomb, just ain't gonna cut it.
