If it’s a Japan deal it makes sense
he could earn $1m or more for a 16 round season from Dec to June then come back and finish the 2nd half of the year with the chooks

let’s be honest he only starts firing midway through the season anyway so make work out! And chooks can pay him less as he is getting his large pay packet with rugby and only playing a short season with the chooks
