We always seem to be rebuilding, with a team 'full' of players 'learning'.

Finally the reason Manu was named in the reserves was revealed as his wife is due to give birth to their first child in the coming weeks there is a chance he won't initially fly with the team to Vegas and Robbo is working on a contingency plan in case Manu is not available for round 1.

Why is it only our club who consistently have in house injuries. Had three training HIA’s last season + an ACL etc. Can’t even get on a plane to Vegas and this has already started again.

The referee was diabolical in the first 20 minutes. He was clearly trying to ensure that Easts were out of gas from the time he allowed Manly to score the first try.

Hope Roosters lodged a complaint against him.
Can't be having one set of refereeing rules for Roosters team and another set of rules for everyone else.
We could get a repeat of the refereeing in this game if we don't scream very loudly in outrage.

Someone should TELL our players that when they're defending on our goal line... to get back on the line, or have one foot on the line...whatever the rule is...not just stand in the field of play...giving refs a chance to penalise them.

why would the NRL even charge you to go watch a trial?

unless it’s a gold coin donation, then the NRL is really showing that it’s got no care for the fans at all.

Exactly. Trials should be free or as you said, be a charitable donation for entry.

I guess they have to cover costs and insurances so maybe that justifies a portion of a gate fee.
