Looks like our premiership window is this year or wait for another 2-3 years if all the players mentioned above leave at the end of this season ...

Good luck to him if it indeed does happen..

Will free up plenty of cap space to play with!

He'll love the money, and hate the game. He'll be back.

The Chooks have to re-sign Billy Smith surely
Pauga & Toia are committed to the Chooks so is it time to bring one of them in?
No Suaalii, Manu, JWH, Toups & possibly May & Crighton for 2025, big changing of the guard.
It’s not because suaali is going to rugby they think he should play res grade - it’s because he can’t fit in our backline as he is not a centre and behind young and tupou on the wings - not because he is heading to rugby
but yes certainly some big $$ freeing up

Teddy & Kearys threat was their speed etc on the edges which is all but gone. Imagine them come 2025

Losing Joey at this stage of his career would be devastating!!!

I'm probably on my own but i would rather Teddy move on and give Joey the No. 1 !!!!

It kinda feels like it’s this year or another year or two
a shame if he goes. Again another superstar lost
although he has gone missing at times he can win you a game
maybe why we signed Marky N from rugby? They knew last year Manu might be leaving
its Strange that the nrl has this let’s pay more to get rugby and other codes but can’t help out clubs to keep our own nrl talent from leaving to rugby

Taylan May you are a Rooster. Let him link up with his brother, and we kill two birds with one stone. Keep Tyrell and get a Manu replacement in the centres (or wing replacement if Nawaqanitawase plays there. 2025 backline: Ted, Nawa/May, B.Smith, May/Naw and Young. Also have Toia but he’s one more ACL away from career over, if not already.

                    Yes it is.
I still think Suaalii will be picked for Rd 1 in FG. He's a talent no doubt about it & would make any NRL first grade team.
The guy is 20 I think & I wouldnt take too much notice of last years game at centre, he could be a devastating centre but for now he's a very very good winger.

You can't begrudge him going to play Union in a beautiful part of the world and challenge himself. 1.2m sounds nice aswell.

The positives are that we will have a huge war chest as many have already said. We already have depth but knowing us, we'll likely make plays for others aswell. May perhaps?

It's a shame because I think his best footy is in front of him as fullback beyond 2025. Here's hoping we get to see it one day in the future. Always a Rooster.

Would be disappointing if he left for that god-awful game of Rugby Union. He might see more action in France, but I'm sure he'll miss Rugby League.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

No way the Roosters should have him back.
Time to spend time and money on Billy Smith instead.

Although Manu hasn’t signed a deal with a rugby union club yet, the Roosters are privately resigned to losing his services at the end of the 2024 season barring a dramatic change of heart.

Manu and his management have held a series of discussions with the Roosters about his future as he considers offers of up to €700,000 ($1.157 million) per season in France.

Manu has told the Roosters he does not want to play for another NRL club but is keen to try something different.

The Roosters can only afford to pay Manu around $850,000 per season. They also have skipper James Tedesco contracted until the end of 2025.

Manu’s manager Peter Brown, did not respond to calls. The Roosters declined to comment.
Joey best leave with another premiership then

                              Over to you Robbo
