Toops - Surely he has 1 more year left in him
B Smith - The next Brett Kenny
Mitchell - Home Sick. Coming home to roost
Young - Will become the best 5 in the game

I can't see Toops going past this season if I'm honest. I would rather see him go a year early then play on too long. Billy Smith shows a lot of promise but is a completely different player to Brett Kenny. Let's give Rob Toia a chance before we even comsider Latrell who has shown no signs of being homseick.

        Next year I see...

        1. Teddy
        2. Toops
        3. Billy
        4. Young
        5. Nawaqanitawase

Then... Taylan May's my smoky when Toops moves on. If Terrell's form continues and we can get a bargain deal on the 3 then I'd be locking them in. IMO moving Manu outta the picture s*x but at the same time makes a LOT of things possible.

This surely also cements his spot in the starting 13, they're not handing out 3yr extensions in pre-season to someone starting in reserve grade.
I still don't see it happening this year. I absolutely think he should given he is clearly the long term option at left centre for us, and makes more sense to get him playing regularly but there is no way any of the others are missing out.

Toops is a genuine legend who doesnt re-sign to play ressies, Young was wanted by nearly every club and isn't going to come to play NSW Cup, Manu speaks for himself... the outlier is Su, who given he has been awful at centre and is leaving at seasons end, probably should be the player to make way for Billy but we both know that won't happen for many reasons.

You are spot on though, so well deserved for Billy and there would've been times he doubted he'd have a career at all. It's a testament to his discipline and character and the clubs patience with him.

Stoked Billy has been rewarded with a multi year contract, Easts Junior absolute toiler has Josh Morris (defensively) feel about him only more physical he can draw and pass bulldoze his way over the line has height in spades to contest high balls nothing spectacular but won’t let you down his strength I believe is his defence.
Not having any X factor Manu brilliance in the backline beyond this season is concerning and can lead to Teddy overplaying his hand once again which only stunted our attack for months on end .

To think at one point in time we had both of the best offensive centres in the game was a real treat endless attacking options alas we cannot keep them forever this team will be completely different once 2025 rolls around time to go shopping and unearth the next line of superstars.

Yes we had two of the best offensive centres, but now only one of them is offensive

When Billy ran straight thru the centres and scored that great try at the end of the last season/finals, I forget which team against, ...running left to right, it was in the far right corner...I said "sign him up" out aloud, wherever I was.
I was obviously not the only one impressed.
He's big, tall enough to have good defence and "muscle" to get past defenders.
                  He's fast enough.
He loves the club, and wants to play for the Roosters.
                  Totally worth signing...and was.

Absolutely. Billy ticks all the boxes and lifts those around him. He's a true inspiration.
