      This officially from the Roosters

Both Dominic Young and Brandon Smith have been assessed by Club medical staff following the 2024 All Stars match and the Sydney Roosters' Pre-season Challenge match over the weekend.

Young has sustained a soft tissue injury to his neck and will be treated conservatively by the Roosters medical team.

Brandon Smith sustained a Category Two head injury assessment, which he passed on the night. He will be available for selection for the Club's opening match of the season.

Now we wait for one of the Roosters to get a D.V.T. and stroke out.

          I can see it happening.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Teddy did a press conference at the airport before the team boarded the plane for LA and he said the injury to Young wasn't as bad as first feared and while he won't play round 1 there is a chance he will travel over at some point to be with the team and was a chance to play in round 2.

That's good to hear. It has to be an exciting trip for the team.

Waerea-Hargreaves and Young may not be playing in Vegas but they will both be present at the Roosters' training base at the prestigious University of California (UCLA), before the squad flies into Nevada. Both players are likely to return for the Roosters' round two clash against Manly at 4 Pines Stadium on March 17.

At the airport in LA, he also said he will be playing round 2.

Dom should not be rushed back under any circumstances. His neck should be allowed to heal fully, that's fully, before he makes a return.
