I just missed out on the Fatty Vautin years at Easts but I will make a case that Willie Mason was a worse recruit than Fatty was because at least Fatty eventually got dumped to reserve grade and by all reports it was already acknowledged he was past his use by date as a player he spoke about this in an interview with Peter Sterling and admitted his heart wasn't in the game anymore but wasn't going to turn down the pay day but Willie Mason was allegedly in his prime as a big money signing and well we've all heard the rumours that came out throughout the 2009 season. I rarely hate any player who pulls on our proud jersey but Willie Mason is one of the very few that I do.
