What do Americans ever make of these games? Is admission free? Like Arena "football" the audience is most likely to be made up of the sort of dimwit who goes to the wrestling, votes for Trump and won't be able to make head nor tail of Rugby League. There must be countless thousands of them in the 'burbs around Las Vegas - who in their right mind would ever live in that soulless dump? The gambling capital says it all.
As Jax rightly points out Walsh's speed should be pretty much nullified by the narrower space and I do expect the Broncs to be more overawed by the mere fact of being in America, the place of dreams. They are from Brissie after all and the chip on the shoulder won't come into it.

Did it have an impact on the neutrals? It probably did, because only 30k turned up a year or so later.
It may well be the same with the rugby league. I think over 30k have been sold already, a crowd of over 40k is said to be a success, so we may have to wait a year to see if it is actually a hit, or a one time novelty.

i'm not convinced the future of the nrl will be enhanced by playing games in the u.s. but time will tell.
you'd figure the smaller field will make scoring tries harder - might be an idea to take every penalty shot at goal on offer and set up for a few 40m fgs

Free admission? LOL..nothing is free..just like leftard's Medicare...nothing is free..And don't blame peeps for voting trump when the only alternative is voting in a 81yr old geriatric called Joe Biden who puts on his toaster on to make a cup of tea because he is hungry.. Moron should be institutionalized along with hard core leftards.Last edited by Rocky Rhodes; 02-25-2024, 06:44 PM.

Rugby League is already played in America.
Their national team USARL 'Hawks' played in the World Cup.
USARL ...13 teams, including the Herriman Roosters out of Salt Lake City Utah.
Canada ('Wolverines') and USA ('Hawks') are playing a Test match in Vegas on 1st March 2024.Last edited by bondi.boy; 02-25-2024, 10:15 PM.

Buzz mentioned on radio this morning that the refs going over will be Ash Klein and Adam Gee. Originally I heard Gerard Sutton was one but it appears not thankfully. Also spoke about they will likely ref 'Origin style' where much more leniency is afforded to promote a faster, open game. As we all expected I think.#We Stand with ourJewish community#
