I see the game being less razzle dazzle/flaring attack and possibly a more defence orientated game, which could mean that hopefully we'll be able to neutralise the likes of Walsh and Staggs with a compressed jamming style of defence.

How can they allow a game to be played on a field that is smaller than normal? If they are going to play over there, they should be demanding that the field be certain dimensions.

I'm sure the NFL wouldn't allow it.

We MUST play direct. Most teams (including us) tend to run out room on the sweeping backline plays on a RL field, let alone a smaller one. The halves will have to play very straight at the line, and Teddy should also chime in straighter or occasionally cut back in to stop the defense sliding too quickly.

There must be countless thousands of them in the 'burbs around Las Vegas - who in their right mind would ever live in that soulless dump? The gambling capital says it all.

As Jax rightly points out Walsh's speed should be pretty much nullified by the narrower space and I do expect the Broncs to be more overawed by the mere fact of being in America, the place of dreams. They are from Brissie after all and the chip on the shoulder won't come into it.
Not at all as those that may have played NFL at any level and or follow the NFL will quickly pick it up- NFL is based on Rugby as is Rugby League.

US Folk even pick up how cricket is played pretty quickly

It's 6 metres difference in width side-line to side-line so 3 metres each side - not a whole lot - 96 metres try line to try line.

The question will be if the retractable field will hold up with the extra wear and tear compared to an NFL game- Roosters vs Broncos is the second game - hopefully the players took the long and short stud boots with them.

It is quite strange....especially when they are desperate to make a big impression of the product.

                All Sorted

94.5 metre field (100 yards) will be marked into 9.45 metres grids featuring the NFL's unique number stencilling and the NRL has been able to widen Allegiant Stadium to 63.1 metres side-line to side-line

NRL field dimensions - 100 metres try line to try line and 68 metres wide side line to side line.

The in goal areas will be 6.4 metres compared to 10 metres. - Some of the grounds in goal in England are not 10 metres either.

What do you want them to do? Get Kevin Costner to plough over his cornfield and build them a new ground? They have to play at the stadiums available and the dimensions are what they are.

So not a lot of difference in the washup if the field dimensions are this

The issue will be the grass as the stadium features a roll in roll out grass field. - NFL Fields are 48 to 49 metres side line to side line.

Tactic: play good footy rather than trying to cobble together a bunch of hacks (like Reynolds did in the GF last year... we now all know that you get the ball back if the ball rolls dead after a dropout... if you're so bloody predictable like that then it's just stupid).

I just wanna see big games from guys like Collins, May, Leniu, Wongie, Butch and Crichton. If they smash it hard and Teddy, Toops, Billy...etc are switched on then we're gonna score a lot of tries against these see you inn the Noosa Taverns

This is Brisbane!!! Respectfully, we are better. Mam, Haas and Walsh are all they've got and they're all over-rated. On their day, a soon to be retired Reynolds and a Cr@ptoni "one game wonder" Staggs can pretend to play footy, but we SHOULD be better. I'm not saying they completely fluked their pre-season result or spot in the GF but like... they did, partly because we under-performed.

The promotion of the game itself Jax is secondary to to presenting it to US betting agencies as yet another lucrative business opportunity.

Looking at Manu’s instagram, looks like his kid has been born. Congrats to him!

Don’t imagine him playing round 1 though

Yeah we get that. It is not a standard NRL field, however.
