Got to admire you dedication to the cause 13.
I can smell a premiership in the air , this year's squad looks well balanced with a good amount of depth in the right areas.
        Up the ROOSTERS
A win against the Broncos will be a great start

If reception is decent I’ll try and post a few pics of the street party outside the ground and the crowd of Chooks inside.

Hire a big American Ute and join the tailgaters in the carpark. It’s an absolute riot!

So pumped for the game. We’re going to give this comp a real good shot I reckon.

Very jealous of you being there 13, enjoy the occasion mate.

              GO EASTS!!

We could be in a bit of trouble with JAS coming into the centres for the poor luckless Billy Smith.

The big day is here. Despite all the novelty and razzamattaz about the event, there's still 2 competition points on offer.

It probably comes down to two things: who handles the occasion best and brings the most energy to the actual game and then the tactics for the changed environment the guys will play in. Fortunately we have the best Coach to have the boys ready for this. Kevvie will have his hands full.

The smaller dimensions and likely free flow refereeing will come down to a very physical battle. Who wins that part wins. Teams playing more direct. Low scoring likely. The guys will feel enclosed not just the shorter, narrower field but the small spaces surrounding that. Feel for the wingers a bit. Tiny in-goals and apparently a hard fast surface where the ball will run, make it hard for the in goal grubbers to stay in play. Might see more aerial kicks than along the ground.

We miss JWH, Young and Billy. All big outs. From their side only Reynolds scares me. We need to make sure we pressure the fk out of him. They will get nervous and lose composure if we can.

Will get a guide as to the game trends when reserve grade goes around at 1.30pm. Someone from our camp will be keeping a very close eye on this while our boys are getting ready.

P.S...if my calcs are correct Thirteen penned this around 3am Vegas time. Either a big night or early kick-off

And the commentary on what Vegas has been like the few days?

Can’t believe the season has started again. I’m very excited to see the team play again and hoping for a better start to the season than has been usual over recent years. Let’s go Roosters!

Yes was about 3am. Was a nice night out with some other Chooks from Sydney. Had to start the thread so when the Aussies woke up it was there.

Every time I see a Souths fan I ask them if they are just here for the curtain raiser and if they think they will make the 8 this year. Will be cheering loudly for Manly.

I’m heading to the ground shortly for pre-game festivities. It’s currently raining here for the first time since I arrived on Tuesday but only a bit of drizzle. It’s very windy. Tonight‘s game will be indoors.

Soak it up mate. Perfect the Budweiser in one hand, Cheesy Dog in the other walk.
