  • First game

Stadium looks great, and Souths and Manly putting on a good spectacle. Crowd seem into it too. John Gibbs on the touchline reckoned there were 35,000 there before this game kicked off. Manly over it'll be 6 all

Dan Ginnane calling this game (thankfully) so it'll be Voss or Warren Smith for us.

The turf seems to be holding up well for the second game

This game is such a good product. If they like NFL, they'l love this. The 5 year Vegas commitment is genius from VLandys. The NRL will take off in America. Saab intercepts Latrell pass and streaks away

I feel we should push the boundaries of the refs like what Queensland do in origin. Klein has mostly left the whistle in his pocket.

Cook has been playing very flat out of dummy half and up over the ad line.

          Ginnane is hopeless.

He's already inserted his tongue inside every available rectum. He's already saying Luke Brooks is the buy of the season. The bloke is hopeless.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Good half of footy to showcase. Manly stiff not to have a few more tries. Feel for Brooksy, he might be in for a decent year.

Turbo looks very good, wish him an injury free year.

Referee largely staying out which makes it so much better to watch, why the fk can't that happen right through to October??

Only thing to surprise me was both teams have been able to create space out wide...a bit of a worry for our game.

Klein is the ref isn't he? Too bad he can't stay invisible whenever he refs an Easts game.

I'm pretty sure ABC radio said only about 15,000 were there.

Don't think you did. John Gibbs from the touchline just before kickoff said 35. Andrew Moore thought 30. Crowd will be 40+. Souths in again, Latrell is killing it.

I must have been hearing things. It certainly looks and sounds like 30,000+ are there.

Manly in again, the Turbo brothers are killing it.
