If he didn't say it then he should just say so. If he did then he should own it and cop the consequences.

      It's really that simple

Absolute rubbish the diving coward had a shocker case in point Keary puts up a beauty of kick restart about 2 mins before halftime Teddy sprints out, out leaps Mam, the diver rolls around like he’s been shot game stops for him (realising he won’t get a penalty) and the very first hit up from Nat Mam miraculously recovers instantly to put a shot on.
Victim mentality no backbone whatsoever that should tell you all about the integrity of the sook.

Fabricated non story that he was crying.

Get what you mean but there's a process, I don't even know if he's officially been 'charged' yet and public statements don't help with the process.

I know it seems useful to 'just say it mate' but leave Mam to do the theatrics with 'Trell and co. He's accused Spencer of being a racist and called in all his mates to try and pressure the NRL to do come down as hard as possible. Now it's time for them to decide whether they're comfortable with a panel of white dudes claiming that a big bad islander called Mam a monkey and that he's been heavily impacted by this because it was racially motivated (and not just common name-calling).

We'll see what happens. IMO it's not gonna be an easy call to make, but I think Spencer's best bet is to stay quiet, focus on his training and respond properly if/when necessary.

If you were so upset Mam, go off for 10 minutes, compose yourself, change your tampon and apply some of Walsh’s mascara…you whiney little bitch.
My memories of league over the past 50 years, are of a tough game (often sledging involved in tackles).
Geez, I’ve been called far worse by Islander and Aussie aboriginal players when I played.
Whats said on field, stays on the field.
Yeah racism sucks, but seriously….an onfield sledge coming from a proud Māori man to a Koori man ( with no racial malice intended). Storm in a teacup.

Walsh was on the ground crying for a penalty in the play before... didn't get it. While Walsh was appealing to the ref, Mam intentionally grabbed the ball and went for a sneaky run (trying to leverage the fact the ref & some players were occupied with the confusion)... he got decked by Sua'ali'i and Spencer.

Next thing... Ezra was on the ground receiving attention (instead of playing the ball - giving us time to setup our defence) and claiming that the tackle on him was illegal. The trainer tried to string it out by stretching his leg and stuff (was the trainer even allowed on the field?) but the ref was having none of it.

THEN... outta nowhere, Ezra started yelling 'HE CALLED ME A FARKING MONKEY!!!' Reynolds and Walsh came in to backup this claim (heard nothing but backed their man). Again... theatrics but no penalty. Would he have even made the claim if he'd gotten some sorta penalty for the tackle (which was clean)? I dunno but I suggest not.

IMO it's a big call to claim somebody's made a racist insult on the field and that it's impacted you DEEPLY to the point where you've been crying...etc. I hope the story and theatrics don't get in the way of proper process.

I don't know about media amplification but I do know that there is no Left Wing media (Could someone point it out please?)

I first heard about the incident on Grandstand where it was reported in passing - nil emotion or drama. The reaction of the those involved on the field at the time did make me think there was something to it. It's a different sort of reaction these days to that particular sledge. Winmar and Goodes put paid to the old days and fair enough. Left unregulated what is the end point for that sort of rubbish?

The fact that it should occur in the home of racism and BLM is so regrettable and even more regrettable will be some kind of dire consequence because as a player he's just what the doctor ordered.

Post Match Victor told Freddy that the side had drawn inspiration from the sustained performance level of Penrith (he didn't name them but the reference was obvious). He said that the Chooks had it in them to replicate that level of quality. We saw it in action in the win. Hopefully we're going places. It's been a while.

The thing is you still appear to be making the premise of guilty before proven innocent

Perhaps it is you socialist/communist roots that see you do this.

It's going to be an interesting round 9 game when the Chooks and Broncos play again.

You have to go through the process, so it doesn't help with opposition players/former players and what not wanting a lengthy ban before any review of the alleged incident has taken place.

It's not France, where you are guilty until proven innocent.

I'm not sure what evidence other than what Mam alleges the NRL has, so have to wait and see.

Looking at the incident, I didn't see that Mam was visually upset on the field, as has been reported. A few other social media sites allege that Mam was calling the Penrith Pacific Islander players coconuts, so I'm not sure if this is a continuation of that.

It looks very suspect to me.

The blokes got no chance of a fair hearing - media, opposition players from many clubs even some of our own supporters are all just taking Mams word on it. They will get players who will have claimed to have heard it even if it wasn't said and he'll get 8 weeks. It's a fkn Kangaroo court.

Exactly, how quickly can we get the hearing over nd done with and every commentator can then have a go around why it’s too short and why it’s too long. Fair dinkum it’s a circus out there.

I am now expecting a cynical NRL to give him 7 weeks based on the testimony of Broncos players that have previously lied to the judiciary, and to then cash in on the incident by having Leniu back for the Broncos game.

Like everyone else I have no idea what, or if anything was said and we need to let due process take its course but he deserves 8 weeks for the way he conducted himself on the field after the game and then in the hotel that evening.

Telling them to come find him on a live interview. Saying it’s all fun and games. What a moron. The Club would be horrified by his behaviour and I can see some action being taken by them above and beyond anything the judiciary does.
