It's hardly the crime of the century obviously. Sounds like she got on the sauce after a big game, vomited in the taxi and had a drunken exchange with the driver/cops. Move on. The only thing that bugs me is why would an Aussie girl who grew up in Australia use "white" in a derogatory manner.

I reckon it speaks to our education system. Millens and Gen Zers have been let down by it. There is a skewed rewriting of history in our curriculums that teaches Aussie guilt rather than a balanced factual account. We should be providing our young people with a sense of pride and hope and love of country. Captain Cook, for example, was a great explorer who deserves the same recognition as other elders from the continent. But some we deify and others we vandalise momuments to them.

We need to give our kids more to proud of (as a collective) and a balanced accurate account of where we've come from and who we are now. Even though I think actual racism is rare now, we run the risk of it getting an unwanted re-birth.

A long bow there Jax but fitting nicely of course with with your News/Woke obsessions. Obviously the officer took offence at being racially vilified, it cuts both ways but it's a bit rich when the dominant culture complains. Nevertheless.

On the subject of a Left leaning/Woke teaching profession. In my experience most teachers (especially the newer cohort) were/are "professional", or their version of it, to the point of being dull and boring. Certainly not given to proselytising. Staff room tables are littered with "Hello" and "New Idea" and the ATAR is so low that any higher mindedness is almost inconceivable. There are notable exceptions of course but generally, the scholar teacher is past tense - too many other well paid jobs for quality graduates these days.

Also who exactly is "We" that is going to put the kids straight? Dopes who believe in cliched myths, who've never read a book and are proud of it, who much prefer slogans over policy and simple solutions to complex problems? C'mon, the common man is a meathead, be honest with yourselves.
