  • Injury Update

Sitili Tupouniua and Siua Wong have been assessed by Club medical staff following the Round 1 match against the Brisbane Broncos at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.

After experiencing pain in his left groin, Tupouniua was taken from the field early in the second half. As a precaution, he will undergo scans and assessment.

Siua Wong was cleared of any injury after leaving the field late in the second half, and will be available for selection in the Roosters' Round 2 clash against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

Backrow depth is good... Angus or Egan to cover Sitili if required.
JWH coming in for Lenui if required.... so not a lot of change form Rd1.
If Lenui is available then I imagine Whyte drops out?
Young will come in for Pagua.
Wonder where Billy Smith is at?

I'm a bit worried about Sitili.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Good question. If fit I think he comes straight back in and starts at left centre

Suaalii had a decent hit out against the Broncos at left centre last week. Robbo has a bloody selection headache on his hand to deal with because Suaalii might have just found his form and mojo at the left centre spot this season. My concern is that can Billy's body hold up ? Poor lad can't make it through a training session without the engine warning light coming on for him even if it's a precaution.

If Leniu is available + JWH back on deck then yeah I think Whyte falls out of the starting line up.

No mention of the player that pulled out the day before the game. Classic Roosters injury update.

                  Is Gus injured?

It doesnt look like he played cup like the rest of the boys that missed out.

The Roosters still haven't provided a list of the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup Squads for 2024.

I found a squad list for Jersey Flegg on another site- not confirmed though
