We can indeed. It's new territory for him. I guess Leniu not being white, it was heading there anyway, but he still had to pull the card out. Against Mundine he has...nothing.
Mitchell is amongst the lowest of dogs. He is the ultimate racist.
We call them man's best friend and they are naturally very loyal creatures , but they get compared to people with unsavoury characteristics.
You won't hear them complain about it either.

There was an article in the now pathetic SMH today, under the headline "Sam Kerr had a shocker of a night, but racist she ain't", where the female journalist talked about Sam shoulder charging a male spectator who had invaded the field in a soccer game (and was clothed, jogging slowly, no threat to anyone and not even looking in her direction when she hit him). The "journalist" then went on to talk about women being down trodden by men. This lead her to conclude that because of that, anything Sam says to any man is understandable, and so what she said in this instance was therefore absolutely not racist.
I kid you not.
If blameless Sam is ruled to be a racist, I expect bronze statues to be torn down by the usual hypocritical suspects 200 years from now.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

In Saint, Sinner, Shoosh today...Buzz writes:
SPENCE NO SNITCH
A Broncos player is alleged to have made a derogatory remark to Roosters prop Spencer Leniu that led to his racial slur ar Ezra Mam.
Maybe it will come up at his judiciary hearing on Monday night, but one of his closest associates told me: "He was brought up in Mount Druitt where you don't snitch".
#####
Well there you go.
Time for Spencer to name name, sign a Statutory Declaration, and present it to the *court* on Monday night and claim "provocation".
Or tell all now, name the player concerned, what they said, and claim "provocation".
This is not the time for silence and "no-snitch" honour.
At the moment he's in the corner being pummelled, and is about to be knocked out.
Time for him to come out *swinging*.
All silence will get him in games is more of the same, knowing that he won't say anything.Last edited by bondi.boy; 03-09-2024, 06:16 PM.

Knowing how we don't fake injuries and fouls like other teams to get penalties, its possible Spence will just keep Mum.

Spencer did it , pleaded guilty and will cop a stint on the sidelines. I don't believe he is a racist , I think more gamesmanship, but stupid none the less, given the extensive education around these topics players receive .
I have no issues with mam and how he feels, im guessing the majority of posters on here claiming mam is a cry baby are like myself , white , middle class and experienced little discrimination in their lives.
bottom line , I'm sure if Spencer had his time again he would re think his actions , and choose his words differently on field and post game .
he will learn from this and be better .

You have it so backwards it defies gravity. Everything you think Spencer should do, is the polar opposite of what he actually should do. And will do. Every take you have on the situation ("he's in the corner being pummeled and is about to be knocked out") is, so completely wrong. I continue to suspect that you are some sort of computer generated posting bot designed to generate more posts. But you're not.
You might wish he'd come out *swinging* with sworn legal document in hand and claimed "provocation"...or told all now, before his 'trial', and claimed provocation.

It highlights everything wrong with our society and its pains to istall permanent white guilt. Uneducated, it may yet be used by Ezras legal counsel. Condescending claptrap.
Not personal against you MattyH, just against your beliefs.

I got called a wog from kindergarden to year 12. Based on the way Mam has behaved, I would have come home and cried in my room every day after school. I copped it on the chin.
Mam is a grown man and needs to act like one. Leniu has tried to extend the olive branch. By refusing to accept it shows he needs to grow up a little.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

I copped it too. From K to Y12. I gave it back to them (not abuse), but stood up for myself and didn’t let them see me cry once. Beneath it all and then when I got home i felt like absolute crap. Could never tell the parents as I didn’t want to upset them. It has scarred me for life in that I loath any sort of racism or bullying because of difference.
