I've seen some low rent acts from the Roosters in my time but I think this takes the prize as the biggest bastard act I've ever seen a major club do to one of its players.

"Welcome to the Roosters, Spencer. Unlike your old club, we're going to lead you to the gallows."

Baby piss weak from the club.

Spencer Leniu - The Judas goat.

    Great frigging start.

What ever sentence he gets he deserves in today’s world.

He'll get nowhere near 12 weeks.

Your second sentence is foolish and narrow minded

Being truthful is the classy way to address the issue.

I think the new evidence was telling: sure, there was no audio, but he was better off admitting it, which should go in his favour. Montoya was going to be suspended for six matches for his homophobic slur, but because he pleaded guilty, they gave him a two-game reduction and only suspended him for four games.

The club owns it, the media and Latrell can stop their crusade. I never thought Leniu intended it as a racial slur anyway, his comments to the media about fun and games after the game suggest that to me. But in this day and age he needs to be more professional. Fox and News limited now have to find another story to fill in time for the next week. I’m sure they’re desperately trying to find a new spin on it right now to run with though.

NRL needs to act like Roosters have and announce the suspension term asap. Then we can all move on and focus on the footy.

I'm more than angry about this so I'm going to demure commenting from now on. In fact I'm taking a powder from the Roosters for a while. No loyalty from them to their players means no loyalty from me.

Yep. He will need to weed the Penrith out of him pretty quickly.

Agree. It’s a relief to not have it continually dragged through the media. I just want to focus on our great start to the year. It also shows Robbo to be a man of character. Sure there are plenty of fans and posters here who don’t agree with his opinions on these sort of issues but he’s not going to make a hypocrite of himself or the club. He has always said this is what the club stands for and he’s following through with that.

He’s no good to us and the potential of worse is clearly in him. They can tear up his contract as far as I’m concerned. Very disappointed just when we had one of our best starts in years.
                        Really?

Wow. Have you heard some of the things on a footy field dude?

                        Monkey is so soft.

If you play this hard line on language we wouldn't have a 1st grade side!

                        Go support Latrell.

Wayne Bennett could really be our saviour here. He came out with some commonsense that I really never expected from him.
He aimed directly at Trell and basically told him to pull his head in, people in glass houses sort of stuff.
‘He says it has been blown way out of proportion. People say things the don’t mean.

“The game doesn’t have to take a strong stand on this. The game has always taken a stand on racism. It’s bulls*** to think otherwise.
“All the drama queens should stay out of the argument
“The NRL may have to come up with a penalty, but if he is found guilty, I don’t believe it should be an overkill penalty.
“We have all been in a situation where we have said something we regret, including the very people now calling for blood.

Really good article and may save Spencer a few weeks

Maybe he is starting to feel some guilt about reneging on his handshake agreement with Nick.

Anyway, for me personally it's going to take a while to warm to Leniu. His idiotic behaviour (before, during and after) should have been left at Penrith.

There was a quote by some Penrith fans claiming he never got done for racial slurs while with them, but spending 6months with Teddy was all it took for him to turn. It’s a fun and (squid)games.

I assume to need for a hearing now. NRL should end this negativity immediately and announce his punishment. The longer this stays in the news the worse it is.
