Thats really the most disturbing part of this hearing. They haven't accepted Spencer's testimony about his intent when uttering one word, yet have apparently accepted Ez Mams multi paragraph submission.

It screams two things...an appeal against the severity of the sentence, and/or defamation in an open legal context for calling him a liar.

However, Easts may just want to move on....hmmm.

My uneducated guess is that it was a pre-emptive strike admitting what was said from the Broncos side, knowing that Easts Counsel may likely raise it. They obviously didn't want it public as we never made a 'complaint' and it would spoil the fairytale narrative.

True. Accepting a prepared written submission that possibly has been edited and embellished by some wordsmith or legal wit without question or cross examination makes a joke of the whole process IMO.
