Cast our minds back exactly 24 months ago when Warriors winger Montoya called Kyle Feldt a homophobic slur and received....4 WEEKS!

Growing up it was drilled into me that it was unlawful to discriminate against one's race, colour, sex or religion.

So, how the fark does Spencer attract 8 weeks? Simple - he was hung out to dry and made an example of.
What didn't help his cause was the bias and unallowed commentary from Fatrell, Nicho Hynes etc....

You make a very good point. What if someone does call Ezra something like you said, not racist but on face value much more offensive?

It leads in to the fundamental point Robbo made at todays presser...this wasn't about racism at all, it was about "language". What is and what isn't acceptable nowadays...even on a footy field apparently

Same Gman, wog at school, and never really bothered me, because a lot of it was said out of jealousy, and being a wog became popular funnily enough.

but calling someone who is not gay a f***tt, doesn’t hurt that person in any way as much, as someone who is. If those words were said to a gay player, I think the penalty would of been about the same as leniu’s.

To put in psychological terms, offence only occurs if the recipient chooses to take offence. It is up to the recipient to choose to feel hurt or ignore it or respond in kind. Mam will go thru life continually being offended at what he hears and feeling aggrieved. Never really grew up.
