Dominating field position is the only way we'll win this game, with Pearce I'd be confident of a win but Mortimer just doesn't have the organisational skills to control play, this is why I think we should have selected Kherreliah he's much better at controlling the tempo of the game and with his kicking game could really control where the game is played. Limit the attacking opportunities DCE and Foran get, it's the only way.

I'll say it again alot rests on how Friend plays, if he can get JWH, Kennedy & Arona running onto the ball and isolate defenders like he did last week we'll be a good chance.

Seems like the stock standard team. Morts needs to show his worth, Anasta needs to um do something, anything. We need this win, no bs ref excuses, get stuck in, put the points on the board. FIRE UP ROOSTERS !

Even though they are missing 5 players from SOO, I still fear we are in trouble for this game.

                    1. They are our bogey team and even moreso at Brookie
                    2. We are missing Pearce and they have DCE and Foran.
                    3. We have no creativity whatsoever in the halves.

One thing I will say though is that if Anasta does stuff all like the past 4 games I will know that he is not 'letting Pearce take the driver's seat'. It will prove once and for all to me that he doesn't want to be here anymore. He has no excuse but to get more involved this game as Mortimer is NOT an organising halfback.

Our forward swill dominate and Cherry and Foran wont be as effective. Creativity means jack shit without winning the ruck. The reverse is also true, you may win teh ruck, but no creativity (Anasta) will not win you a game.

Ideal situation - Mortein plays well to wear the 6 for teh rest of the season at Emergency Service's expense. If that happens this year would be classed as a success.

i think we have the goods to win this one. they dont know what morts has to offer so they wont know how to defend him.

while braith all you do is stand still and he will take a few steps and pass to noone.

i have a feeling that if morts and mitchell dont have a game or 10 this season they may be on the chopping block. bring up killah as the spare 5/8 for malony and riley jacks or little john for pearce. the third pick for nsw was maloney as a 5/8 if he kicks ass in 2013 we may lose our centres.

so what to do, do you keep mitchell for a lock .5/8 role or morts for half 5/8

or let go of our youth development ie newtown jets and 20s

Takairangi needs to be on the field a bit more.

He at least provides some opportunities.

Here's an interesting stat for you

"the centre pairing of Leilua and Kenny-Dowall are the most powerful duo in the NRL, with a combined 77 tackle-breaks."

agreed. Definitely needs more game time, especially towards the end of each half

Whenever we are trapped attacking in the opposition 20, and are struggling to break through Brad T also needs to be brought on imo
