Sorry this is not entirely Roosters related, and I'm sure that certain people will lose their sh!t over it, but I can't help thinking about poor old Balmain. They get a first round bye and a gift 2 points. They're 9th on the ladder and it's probably as close as they're ever going to get to the top 8 (does anyone know when they were last in it?).

To make it Roosters related, here's the current ladder:

    1. Cowboys
    2. Dragons
    3. Eels
    4. Raiders
    5. Sea Eagles
    6. Roosters
    7. Storm
    8. Sharks
    9. Tigers
    10. Warriors
    11.Panthers
    12. Broncos
    13. LOL@Souffs
    14. Knights
    15. Bulldogs
    16. Titans
    17. Dolphins

    Next week, it's 5th vs. 6th.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Phew...I'm relieved mate. I was worried you had a 'run' in your stocking.

Isn’t that where St Merge generally are after round 1 and then by round 6 or 7 or 8……

Tigers 9th. Their fans should celebrate!

            Storm D was impressive.
Dragons and Manly look competitive this season.
            Bulldogs are still rubbish.
            Cowboys are my smokeys.
Panthers looked flat but should make the top 4.
Sharks defended well, dug deep and showed plenty of Fitzy character.
Souffs are shite. The chip on Latrell Mitchell shoulder appears bigger than ever.
Raiders look battle hardened. A good win away from home.
Eels top 6 but they just don't have what it currently takes to win a comp.
Warriors will come good. Top 6 Imo.
            Broncos - bananas.
            Titans rubbish
            Dolphins to finish 10th.

I dont think Penrith can win 4 in a row
I dont think the Chooks can win the comp with Walker & Keary in the halves
I dont think the Broncos can win the comp
And out of all the other teams bar Melbourne I dont think any of them can win it.
So I think Melbourne will win the comp.

Speaking of Melbourne, probably the greatest try put down I have ever seen by Coates tonight.
