Believe it or not, when 13 men take the field and start copping a battering, it is not mummy or Brain smith that keeps them motivated.

Not to sound like a one stringed banjo but Carney kept us motivated in 2010 but he was not captain. Just because one has individual greatness it does not mean that they will be great leaders and make decisions which will change our chances in a game. Even if lockeyer wasn't captaining the broncos, I doubt his performances of himself or those around him would be any different. Over the last 3 or 4 weeks where we played some good footy, do you think it was anasta motivating the players??????

No bullshit I got a phone call from Steve Noyce this afternoon in reply to an email I sent him after the Warriors game in regards to Anasta.

Let me say this, Anasta will be captain & 5/8 for the rest of this year unless injured. The guy is held in the HIGHEST regards by all of the Roosters coaches & staff. That is from Noyce's mouth.

He said that Braith admits himself that his involvement has been quiet & that he was working on it. He reminded me of how much Anasta does off the field in regards to club duties & sponsor duties. He said since I have never played FG that it would be difficult for me to understand how hard FG is.

He also mentioned that the club had a very young roster & it was vital to the team for Anasta to be the captain.

I am with you Cock. The bloke should be made captain now. The rest are young and their time will come. Another year will show if Pearce is up too it, or another guy stands up. With the forward pack we have, maybe it should come from there. Aubs just doesnt lead from the front. He is a good first grader, but there must be half a dozen in front of him.

Yeah i like the idea of Mini as captain , It wouldn't hurt to see how he goes and who knows he may make a fist of it. I'm sure Steggles would love it , Unlike Captain Useless he put's in every week and can't be faulted as far as his attitude is concerned.
