We dont need either of them. big $$, baggage, injury worries, no loyalty. besides our back row depth is great and showing promise. at centre we have the raw potentially devastating moga and the enigmatic SKD who on his day can be the best centre in the comp.
what we need is a coach or mentor that can get the best out of not only the 2 above but all others showing potential. is it smith,hmmm... time will tell.

In the past RR I didnt mind the Roosters buying big name players but the whole running of clubs has now changed. The salary cap has had an effect so IMO from watching the Roosters youth policy over the last 3 years I think it is the way to go. I know it is hard to imagine but imagine if the Roosters in 2016 had 17 players running out who had only ever played for the Roosters. I believe that the Roosters have the right people who can identify the best youth talent & then entice them to the Roosters.

I just think with some patience the Roosters could have the makings of being a top 4 side.

Guys like BJ Takairangi Bosden Moga Evans Forrester Cordner RTS look to have the goods they just need 2 or 3 seasons in FG together.

You are kidding right regarding the cap. Every other team can fit stars under the cap so we need to as well. I want to challenge in 2014/2015 not maybe 2020. I have had to be patient since 2006, patience is just an excuse for things not happening. Without star players nothing will change from finishing 11th or 12th each year. We dont need a superstar we need THAT guy who can lead us like Carney in 2010 and Freddy 2000-2004
Maloney aint spark hes just a solid half. Pearce wins us games but he doesnt have that ability to take us into the finals but maybe he is the answer besides he will be with Maloney next year so hell play better and isnt even at his peak yet and has achieved so much imagine him at 25 he'll be a freak.
Unfortuneately hes not Italian like me like Minichiello but i still reckon hes my favourite player

yEs we got a good NYC side but its not about the team its about how good those players play for first grade id rather our team come last like Manly but they produced Buhrer, Lussick etc yes their squad is crap but they got good players out of it and thats what counts but I think the future is looking bright we need a tougher coach my reccomendation Stuart 2013 Bellyache 2014 he will make RTS, Leilua, Moga, Taka, Cordner, Guerra into superstars and fulfil Kennedy's origin dream. He can make Forrester Hodges as he is part Italian and Napa, Evans great forwards I like our squad. We'll have good halves the best in the comp after Manly's DCE and Foran a great forward pack and hopefully good backs a good side all round and with Bellamy at the helm we will get a premiership or two!

T Carney had worse issues yet without him we wouldn't have made the 8 in 2010 let alone the GF. T Carney, another example of why key big signings are required.

Yeh we have good youth but I havent seen one thats really payed off our greatest were buys from other teams Freddy from the Panthers, Fitzy from the Dragons Carney from Raiders. Even Our greatet ever player Arthur Beetson was bought from Balmain.We are dveloing s good sqad i dont think we need a centre but we need an x factor somewhere!

Well, that's what i want, a try scorer and a match winner like Jennings or hayne or even Gordon. Although Gordon may not have that X-factor.

Agree with that bit. Some talk like we have the best young talent in the league however didn't the warriors win the toyota cup and the broncs are miles better off than us when i comes to talented youth.

If Bellamy came here the first thing he would do is recruit some star players. Having Slater, Cronk and Smith Bellamy knows the value of star players build around a solid team. Just a change of coach isn't enough, Bennett and the knights the perfect example. They like us need a few more star players.
