Nat was left clutching fresh air on their 2nd try, so Nat is not without some defensive issues as well. At the end of the day, that’s what happens when you have to make 99 more tackles than the opposition, mostly by the forwards.

That was abysmal by Walker & then butcher, Tommy fcking talau made them look like amateurs.

At times Sitili looks like he has severe ADHD. Fidgety and spontaneous and doesn't want to listen.

I’ll put my hand up, i thought sitili was one of our best options for the 2nd row, he has been awful to start the year, defensively poor, and whether it is his fault or the teams, he is not having an impact in attack as he had previously.

For all his apparent 'X' factor, Sitili cannot defend for shit and left Kez open too often. Just play Nat on the edge against teams with massive backrowers.

Young cannot defend, or understand the simple concept of staying on his winger.

Not entirely sure about your Young comment. I think his defensive positioning may have helped stamp a try in the first half.

Agreed, it will be interesting to see what we get out of a Sandon Smith / Sam Walker next week as I assume Keary will miss with HIA protocols.

But absolutely no organisation, we try to create a linebreak on every play. Keary played more like a rookie than a 250 game veteran today, throwing stupid passes in his own half after being camped on our goal line all game.

We need to become content with not scoring on every single set and instead turning the ball over in difficult positions for the opposition. We just didn’t do that at all today.

I wonder if there might be a chance that Manu gets another chance at 6 if Keary is out long term and Billy smith to center? our halves are getting barreled in defence. Sandon seems to be able to defend ok, but not sure if the style of Walker/sandon would be too similar.

Very disappointing club debut for Young on a number of fronts. Looked lost in defence, didn’t carry well in yardage and seemed to out of breath and missed his assignment off a number of occasions.

Hopefully just gets better with some more match conditioning.

The problem in D is inside him - Walker and to a lessor extent Manu - Walker will continue to be targeted. Not sure if Walker is 100% fit either - 4 runs for 33 metres today - Keary 8 runs for 30 metres. - They need to be better than that in Offence.

Yeh, Manu didn’t help Young’s cause at all today.

off the field all the noise is walker has been handed the keys, this is his team, he steers us round and all the stuff.

but then on the field keary constantly over rules him and does most things from 6, which I think is why our teams identity little bit confused.

compare that to manly, DCE's team entirely and brooks pops up as little side piece.

Good point. I called it in the preseason that Walker needs to be allowed to own the team and call the plays. It seems not being allowed to be the dominant half has greatly impacted Walker’s natural instinctive attacking game that we saw from him early in his career. Let’s see what happens if Keary doesn’t play next week.

I hope we never see Manu at 6 again. He’s not a good defender and he stifles the attack. I’d rather see Radley at 6 than Manu. Sandon Smith will be the likely choice, but Docker Clay might also get a run (he scored a couple of tries today). The halves are our main weakness and the area of least depth.
