I’m looking forward to the return of Billy Smith, as I reckon he hits a lot harder than any of our forwards did today.
Mate you cannot win at NRL level with 41% of the ball I think that says it all although I still say our halves are To’o small to defend effectively

We missed Spencer big time today.

Perhaps the last week of monkey gate was a distraction for the boys.

Souffs next week and Wighton is back............................

Olakau'atu is a genuinely scary dude. I think it that jeepers creepers type haircut.

he , afb, jfh , leota come across as genuinely scary I wouldn't want to tangle with either of those .

Super clunky but not disgraced. Manly is a very good side. Possibly Jetlag hangover affected the handling?

            Didn't affect Manly!

NFI how Keary copped it from front rowers the whole game. He defends well but there was at least one easy try in that.

Not downplaying the quality of our forwards but TBH blokes all over the park just seemed to be having an off day! Wongie made a few stupid errors, Keary's timing was off in key moments...etc. I dunno if Collins and Cheese added the 2nd half ooomf we needed either.

We had comparatively little ball and farked up many golden opportunities with silly shyte. Further, what was the penalty count? We gave away a loooot of dumb penalties. Not really how you win games, ay?
9-4 in favour of Manly (of course) including 2 penalty goals from in front. No idea about the 6-again count.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I agree entirely with what you are saying, however I’m not sure how your response has anything to do with what I said?.

Don't agree that we got "bashed" but a few things:

                  * JWH should've started the game with either May or Collins. When he starts, he sets the tone and rhythm. It was a bit late with JWH coming on later, we already let Manly set their own tone and rhythm and it was an arm-wrestle to gain any ascendancy.
                  * Our halves seemed out of sync (once again).
                  * Edge backrowers needed to mark up Olakau'atu ... not Keary. With Keary there, he was a bloody speed hump at best.
                  * Backline cohesion and combination is still a work-in-progress and will take time to gel.
                  * Maybe our return from Vegas hindered our preparation and adjustment. With jet-lag, training restarting, the drama and distraction with Spencer ... we probably got side-tracked a bit.

                  We'll be ok ... lessons learnt !

Yeah I wouldn't downplay the Leniu stuff. IMO people woulda been pissed about how it was handled.
