The best thing about this team this year and heading into the future is the quality of our depth. I think only Pearcey and Mini would be hard to replace (even though we have Morts) but almost everyone else has someone in the 20s or NSW cup who is ready, or close enough, to step up to first grade.

I think that many people on this forum overate the depth which we have in our team and the juniors coming through. Yes moga will be a star in the not to distant future, and maybe RTS may be in the same boat. However many of the other wingers, and centres we have are far from first grade both mentally and physically.

There's nothing wrong with being optimistic but at the same time I don't think it's a good idea to count the chooks before they hatch, clever play on words there.

I was talking more about having guys like Morts, Mitchell, Carney, Tagive, Bosden, Symonds and co. in Reserves who have all played some first grade and are capable of stepping in without missing a beat.

It's the way he runs. He needs a complete overhaul of his running technique. You watch next time when he's jogging around the field or when he makes a break and is required to sprint. His knees collapse inwards a lot more than what is normal and this places so much torsional stress on your tibia that you develop stress fractures. This injury is not a surprise at all and it pisses me off that Roosters staff has not done something about this before it has become an issue.

I think the best move would be to move BJ to the right where I believe he's more dangerous at centre and Moga into centre. Would be great if Tagive could make it back to play wing but i think Tupou or Henry would do beyond an adequate job. I don't think moving Aubs to the centres is the solution. Especially this game where we'll have no creativity in the halves and will need our centres to fire. It will nees to be an offload frenzy off the back of forward dominance and Friend will have to have a blinder for us to get the points i reckon. Not a terrible game for FPN to make his comeback in imo. If he or Bosden play they will have blinders, I'm calling it.

I reckon Maubs is just the defensive centre we need to contain Matai or Lyon. Bosden &/or Symonds can deputise in the backrow.

Maubs has always been our 4th best centre reserve.Apart from being our top 2nd rower,Bosdan certainly can cover his move.
We would actually gain with this move with Aubbs marking red hot Lyons...

Nothing is ever official til game day with the Roosters mate. Especially when you've got an 18 year old likely to be playing his first game in the centre in first grade. Smith is not that stupid. Plus Gman and Sir Roosterlot know their stuff when it comes to what's happening in this club so i'll take their word any day over some "official website" that says that Mini is still in doubt for the anzac day game.
