  • Who would you start?

To be honest I was not overly impressed by Sitili’s poor defense and protection of Keary on Sunday. He left him exposed far too many times against that Okalauato (sp?).
I think Sitili is a great running weapon to have on the team and would prefer him coming off the bench after the forwards has done the softening up period. I’d start with Butcher ( Nat) and Crighton or Whyte, then bring Sitili on around the 25 minute mark to run riot, and have him run at their new half back all night. Hopefully Angus would’ve softened up the halfback by then by constantly running at him at least once every set of 6.

Stili’s defence has been poor for a number of years. Throws the arm out and tries to hit to high.

His defence can be questionable at times but really the only enforcer we have - gets a good shot on at times as well

I think Sitili is much more comfortable on the right. Nat doesn’t offer a lot of impact, so is better starting.

Whyte is being used in the prop rotation, but he could certainly get a run on an edge when Spencer is available.

I agree, I'm also hearing whispers Billy Smith might come in. Most likely for Toops pushing Suualli to the wing I'm guessing. Looked to me Toups was carrying a back/rib injury at the end of last week and with the short turnaround they may just being cautious and why not if Billy's ready to go.

I want Brandon Smith to be best on ground this Friday night - it is long over due.

Start with Nat and Gus. Sitili from the bench. I think Wong wasn't great on the weekend but was a little surprised he got dropped.

                    What a bench!

I also think we need our strongest defenders on to start the game.

I said before round 1, Butch starts as one of the backrowers. Covers 80mins and defends well inside small halves.

Im really not sold on Sitili. Think he’s best adding punch and energy off pine. We’ve had a shit time of edge forwards since Boyd retired. No one seems to be able to lock down a spot.

Proves Suaali is the odd man out! Still great to have him as back up but he will move everywhere filling in gaps in the backline
but if everyone fit can’t see a spot for him

I said as long as Sitilli is fit he will be in the starting side & I stick by that.
Im not sure if I was watching a different game to some on here last weekend but I thought Sitilli & Kez handled HaumoleOlakau'atu pretty well. The blokes a giant & yet Sitilli & Kez never took a backward step.
Sitilli is in my run on side every day of the week.

Could be all dribble too! I think it's smart to have the depth, I think it will keep everyone honest and performing and hopefully enable us to be proactive instead of reactive with potential injuries.

Boys cordner was signed until 2024 so this year - still could be playing and only 32 so could have gone on if not for injuries and concussion!
Gus was next in line, great and times!
Sitili came back last year form an acl and was belting blokes so gives another point of difference where we don’t have many other enforcers in D
