  • Jenko in the top 30

Looks like Jenko has been upgraded into the top 30 this season
    3 spots left to fill?
Jenko only has 2 games to get to the 300 so I think at some stage with injuries or Origen etc he will get a couple in! Again really good back up experience and must be next in line moving in front of pauga for a back spot! Gives us more depth!

Despite his recent troubled past, he's trying to get his life back in order and finish his NRL career on a positive note. His miraculous try in the 2013 Grand Final is etched in Roosters history forever. I'm glad that the club is giving him a chance and wish him well.

2 tries stand out - one in the anzac day game in his first year when he did the dragons centre for pace, and the other in the gf - not many players would have got to that ball soon enough to be able to plant it inside the dead ball line.
you figure he'll get a run sometime this season and it'll be great to see

He has made the 19 man squad.

Robbo must prefer him as backline cover over Pauga.

If the Chooks are relying on Jenko then we are in trouble.
Was a top player in his day but Manu, Smith & Suaalii are streets ahead of him.

              Depth
there will come a time this year we will need him to fill a backline spot
              Suaali much higher? Nah

Suaalii has been the best centre we have had this year.
I know its only 2 rounds but he runs harder & tackles harder than any of the other backs.

                  And that’s all he’s got
also missed tackles, and offers very little to scare another backline
I agree he goes hard but seems to be more like a backrower then a back
still waiting for a fend, step, pass

I think that will reflect in the selection process

                      It's Jenko v.2024 ffs.
We would need a massive injury toll for him to play. Toups, Manu, Suaali, Smith and Young aren't playing origin. Manu might take the fullback spot is about it.

GL to him if he gets a game but I think Pauga would still be ahead of him if someone us really needed. He played well against the Broncos. Top 21 is a token gesture.

2 injuries to backs and he is in atm! With our luck with injuries this will most likely happen! He is allready above pauga who is not in the 22
just because he is mid 30s you think he has lost everything? Yes he won’t be 2013 form but still okay

Always been a Jennings fan, even when he played for other clubs. An incredibly underrated player in his peak.

Will be good to see him get a run for us this year. A very handy replacement.

He should be pretty fresh given a few years out of the game, so I’m not overly concerned about his age. Look at Borris and Jorris; I reckon they could still be running around in 1st grade and were both playing top notch footy till the end.
