  • No spot for Keary next week

Never thought I'd say it. Sandon Smith was awesome. He's done Keary I reckon, as much as I love him.

Why’s that ? Sammy is out with 11 day protocols

First I've heard of a player failing a HIA after getting an elbow to the neck.

I agree on the Keary front. Sandon looks the goods and I think he's ready to go to the next level.

However it'll be Keary and Sandon given Sam failed HIA. Which is odd because he looked completely fine.

Sandon was awesome, 10/10 but Robbo doesn't operate like that. Keary will always be our 1st option if fit. It's great to have such depth in our squad.

TBH, I’d rather see Sandon and Watson as 7 and 6 next week. I think Keary actually hurts our attack these days. It sounds like they’ll challenge Walker’s HIA 11 day stand down, so I reckon he might play. Walker and Smith have to be our halves going forward if we want to win the comp.

Channel 9 are saying Sam Walker passed his HIA and more to do with his neck - It was a category 1 though so the Roosters will have to be successful in fighting the stand down for Walker to play vs Penrith

                  If Walker plays

                  Tedesco
                  Toops
                  Suaalii
                  Manu
                  Young
                  Keary
                  Walker
                  JWH
                  Brandon Smith
                  May
                  Nat Butcher
                  Sitili
                  Radley

Firstly, who said Keary is back? Assume it’s true but we don’t know. Protocols may say 11 days but Roosters may say 6 weeks.

100% agree. Sandon looks to have put on some bulk aswell and more importantly, he's got confidence.

Listening to Robbo’s presser, seems like the Club will fight to clear Walker to play against Penrith..

Robbo said Sammy is absolutely fine and only got hit in the neck..

Makes you wonder where the Category 1 farce decision came from?

Correct, Sam Walker passed his HIA was only ruled out because the medic in the bunker ruled it as category 1 symptoms. Which is very odd given he never lost consciousness and was always very aware and alert whilst being attended to on-field.

Roosters just need to get a specialist to come in and clear him and he should be fine to play next week.

Thought Sandon was tremendous in defence tonight. All of their big forwards targeted him all night and sure he got bumped off a few times but he never gave them an inch.
                            Very impressive

It's been obvious for a long time that the Keary/Walker combo doesn't work. Keary stifles Walker.
Walker needs to be the man in charge. If Keary makes it back in the team he needs to take a back-seat and not look for miracle plays every play.
