  • Latrell's Binning

Just watching the replay and the worst thing about the incident is how he managed to plant his knee in Teddy's face as they went down.

King Grub. Cheap shots galore. Likes to hurt blokes.

Had shades of that in his game when he was with us and it's only gotten worse.

So much talent but he's blowing it.

There was also the sly knee to the head of JWH in the 1st half.

Watch it again, first he stepped on teddy’s stomach, then fell into his face with the knee, was it innocent? I don’t know, him and Teddy had a bit of a laugh, Teddy must have abs of steel.

I just thought it was lazy as fark and then grubby.

The right thing happened. I've backed the guy for years as I want him to be standing up for his people and feeling good about himself. However, now I agree with Gus that he's always had attitude issues and needs a coach who can stand up to him for the benefit of the team.

IMO I can say this as somebody who's lost 20kg recently in order to run marathons. Losing weight (like what Terrell May did) takes COMMITMENT. If you wanna play FB then don't keep your weight on and do dodgy shyte like this to the world's best fullback when defending him!!!

Got what he deserved IMO. Focus on your game rather than spending 2 weeks trying to get one of our players suspended for 1/2 the season then playing like a lazy grub.

Yes , have been fan of Latrell even after he left us . However recent performances on the field and his trash talk off the field , I can now honestly say we are a better and stronger club without him . It is his loss for leaving us , we will be saying in times to come - Latrell who? Good riddance

                        Can’t argue with that sentiment

IMO there's something in what Gould had to say about him. It's a sensitive issue because I don't wanna confuse his attitude with his cultural needs...etc.

However if we take him as a player... who's running the show? Recruitment have now got him, Wighton and AJ all job sharing because Latrell can't lose 20kg and adjust his game to play like a REAL fullback.

Trbo showed us what a real FB can do and Teddy showed Latrell what a real FB can do. It's a different role from just taking the big runs (which isn't what Manu, Sua'ali'i, Toops and Young do anyway!!!)

IMO it's taken a while but Souffs are now in a position where they could finish bottom-4 (and are not guaranteed to beat the Doggies next week!!!) I think it'll take a lot of coaching to say 'ark off Trell I'm coach... Wighton's a half, not your inside man [or your cousin!!! That's just a BS line he used to avoid doing time for an assault - great grandma's 3rd cousin twice removed my @rse!!! Nobody in Canberra respected him after he went to court claiming to be anything other than the child of rich farmers who shoulda known better than to almost kill some random outside a nightclub!!!] You're left centre and AJ's FB. Now STFU and just do it for once!!!! I gave you the option to lose 20kg in the off-season and you didn't put in the necessary training/commitment. NOT MY PROBLEM!!!!'

I hate trell just as much as anyone but I thought he was quite measured last night. As for the incident with Teddy, I think it was just unfortunate. Watching the replay I thought he accidentally steps down onto him and when he realises he makes sure he removes his weight which caused the incidental contact with his knee to Teddy's head.

Trell even gave Whyte a congratulatory tap on the bum after he got shotted by him. Didn't see to me that he was at his grubby worst.

I am actually loving watch his ego drive the bunnies culture into the ground though. I didn't care about his f bombs on triple m last week but his comments regarding celebrating an individual accolade of scoring a 100 tries after being soundly beaten and not having a win to your name for the year would've infuriated me if he was in our colours. South's have failed to reign him in like we did and now they are copping the consequences. He is not a team first player and they will continue to suffer whilst he carries the chip on his shoulder he has and don't manage his ego.

Feeling the need to add a couple of spoonfuls of schadenfreude to my morning coffee, I visited The Warren to read how the Vermin fans were taking it. The thing that surprised me was the level of hatred they have for Latrell. Nobody has a good word to say about him, echoing Churchill junior's "cancer in the club" sentiment, saying how lazy and uninvolved he is, and hoping that the club gets rid of him.

I'd be prepared to take him back as a centre, but the Vermin are paying him $1.1m a year. I reckon his next step might be a premature retirement.
