  • Dom Young

Looking the goods and certainly gives us some more lethal strike force out on the wing. My money is on him for top tryscorer come the end of the season.

In attack, he certainly has all the attributes ie. Speed, Strength, agility. defence ? Well he is a big lad and so I reckon it's something he can get better at.

How awesome is it going to be watching him play in the next 4 years- the guy is blessed with every attribute you want in a rugby league player. Total Beast!

My only issue was his kicks when he coulda run the ball. Guessing he had a license to do them as practice while we were up?

Shyte he's damaging though!!! Made AJ, Biggton and Trell Mitt look like an absolute farce (or should I say facre in good old chookpen tradition).

It's so nice to have some speed out wide again.....

He’s pretty good. When he’s taking yardage runs he’s going way too sideways. Just run straight like Toops.
              EASTS TO WIN!

He struggles in defence and under the high ball but everything else he's a freak at.

Reminds me of a quicker Fergo. Will provide us plenty of frustrating moments but will also win us games on his own.

I feel like this is a little controversial but stylistically he reminds me of SKD in a lot of ways.

Big body, beautiful mover. The way he runs across field swerving in and out of contact is vintage SKD.

And then on the flip side I think there might be some rocks in amongst all those diamonds, it all came off for him last night but the pass to no one that bounced up beautifully for Toops could've been anything just went our way on the night, the impulse to kick so often, again came off but these are not high percentage plays.

Robbo did wonders for SKD's career so it's exciting he's got his hands on Dominic Young so early because the untapped potential is so evident. He could be anything.. but currently I think there's going to be some ups and downs with him as he continues to develop.

Nothing wrong with the way Dom Young plays - No problem with him kicking either as even Toops did one as well. They need to be less rigid, robotic and predictable in attack and players given a free reign and backed by the coaching staff to showcase their attacking prowess.

By the looks of it the Roosters have worked hard on their attack pre-season and it was pleasing to see the Roosters score a try from a set scrum - Don't remember the last time they did.

You can't buy or train speed and when you have it you need to use it

not the finished product and could be the best winger in the comp

He was a joy to watch last night.

Put my hand up and say I was totally wrong about Young. I said he was a reserve grader. He's a proper player. Seems to have a great attitude as well.

Dom is a weapon defence will come its Robbo’s blueprint it’s our DNA to defend our line, he will get better, Toops used to get bundled back 3-4 meters every run early on I remember all the haters then bagging him.
He can be the best in the next couple of years.
Great to see him sprinting in the open, the new Ferrari.
