He was allready just about the best winger in the comp last year
we need to get the ball to him which we have so far
also great to see Manu using his passing game to set young up!
young should score plenty outside Teddy and Manu

There is so much more improvement still to come with Dom. Needs a little more work under the high ball, and need to get rid of all the crab running, but it's great to have some natural speed in the line and he handled well the run and timed pass back into to Walker.
Don't know what his brother is like, but if he's even close to Dom's skillset, then going forward after Toops retires would be awesome having a pair of Dom's on the wing. ..... is Dom is good !

Holbrook being back as attack coach has made a big difference

By the looks of it the Roosters have worked hard on their attack pre-season and it was pleasing to see the Roosters score a try from a set scrum - Don't remember the last time they did.

You can't buy or train speed and when you have it you need to use it

Dom is perhaps the most exciting player in the NRL. What a great signing.

We look very slick on our edge plays.

Teddy's been on absolute fire with his pass selection.

Think at one point in the first half it was 18-0 and had only had 2 play the balls inside the 20 to Souffs 16 play the balls.

Efficiency. Great test this week against the Panthers.

Before he was even mentioned as a signing prospect for us, he was my 'wishdream' get. Stoked it actually happened.

The really exciting thing about him is I think he is still learning the game, particularly high end wing play. It's scary to think how good he might be.

Very true!! I dont know what the Titans were thinking dumping him they way they did for who they did.....but its to our advantage because he is better than most first grade coaches at other clubs.

Defence needs significant improvement. Needs to stop running sideways on kick returns and his catching of the high ball is a worry. Speed will be great but has a lot to do to become a pro like Tupes.

Very true. I think he was with us in 2018.

Anything else you want to critique? The defence will improve - Robinson will make sure of it. I didn’t even think his reads were as bad as you’re making them out to be. Half the time he was left in no man’s land because Manu jumped and mistimed his approach - same as last week.

We haven’t had a genuine x-factor back for a long time like Young. For the first time in years, as soon as we spread that ball on an overlap to him, in seconds we were in a try scoring situation. Even when he went side ways as you recall, in three steps he had left 3-4 players clutching at air. Ominous signs for oppositions.

Those saying that he chooses too often to run sideways are correct in my opinion. Watching him last night I noticed that when he did try running directly down the middle, he was mostly easily stopped by defenders.

I think that he lacks the leg strength necessary to break tackles and he does not use his mass momentum as good as he could. I hope that Robbo does with him what he did with Tupou back in the day, get him to get the ball early in the tackle count and run it hard down the middle. When he used to do that I thought that it was stupid to use Tupou almost as a forward. I was wrong and it paid off with Tupou being a much harder runner now than what he was all those years ago.
