Seems to be a trend that Roosters fans don't appreciate the prospect of certain depth signings. Not everyone you sign can be a star. Look at the Panthers signing Cogger and O'Sullivan over the pase couple of years. Both of them were super valuable for them, and neither were world-beaters.

That being said, I don't really see a need for another back-up half when we already have Watson and Smith.

Pretty sure Volkman was signed by St Merge before copping a season ending injury.

I don't think he actually signed a deal with the Dragons and that he might have already been carrying the injury which was picked up in the medical but the Warriors had already released him so he was stuck without a club and injury to deal with though I think the Warriors have helped with some or all of his rehab after there was backlash from the media over what happened.
