IMO having Collins and Leniu out is the bigger hole. Love Cleary but the Riff's team/systems are solid enough to cope without him.
Calls that we are now favourites are BS. I'll be cheering for us and certainly hoping for a win but they're the team to beat and we haven't been competitive with them for years.
JWH, May and Whyte are all great players but they're up against Penrith's full strength forward rotation. For us to be successful, IMO one of either JWH or May is gonna have to play a complete 80 minutes. Like we're talking a classic Terrell May 40-50 minute stint but maintained for the full 80. IF he can do that (which IMO he can if he digs deep) then it'll be farking hectic!!!! Dare say Origin selectors will be watching this one coz if he can bash through the middle of a team with Martin, Yeo, May...etc for a full 80 then he's ready.
Fark... now I'm fired up. Bugger my first point that we're underdogs. May and JWH just need to pretend they're playing against Souffs and put in for 80!!!
Interesting that NOBODY is saying 'oh well with Cleary gone, Edwards will step up as the leader'. IMO this exact situation demonstrates why Teddy's still the big man for Origin. A few forwards are out and Cleary's down... which of the two will people trust to keep competing?
Why will we need a front rower playing 80 mins? Not smart having an exhausted big man out there missing tackles against the best in the league. Yeah we will miss Collin’s, but surely Gus will be in the prop rotation and he goes pretty well. Oh the drama!
